Donald Lu should be sacked for bad manners and sheer arrogance - Imran Khan to CNN

Vietnam farmers forced US to retreat in war. We're a nuclear power, we struggled 100 years to get independence. How can we accept arrogant language and that too coming from a low-level diplomat?

-- This interview is with CNN, they will somehow spin a narrative that Imran Khan is anti-American. IK has repeatedly clarified/mentioned that Pakistan only wants peacetime alliance, Pakistan will not be an ally when it comes to war (drone bases, anti-Russia statements etc.). Khan wants independent foreign policy that looks after interests of Pakistani people, we do not wish to be part of someone elses' war. Fighting others' war in last 40 years caused us 80,000 loss of lives

With the Americans, it's always either u are with us or against us. That is their starting/maximalist position. If someone calls their bluff, then game gets interesting, but that is how they start to talk usually. The fact that CNN is interviewing Khan, shows US is feeling the heat, and obviously they don't like it. Khan should stand his ground and call back the American bluff, like if u think I (Khan) am anti-American, then deal with it.....

Giving interviews to western corpororate/establishment media is an exercise in futility. They tow the line of their establishments, especially when it comes to Muslim world. No doubt this interview will be twisted into something sinister and dangerous against the US.

US public is good and generous, but unfortunately they will never know that IK is not against the US, but wants to put the interest of his nation first. He wants the same freedom for his people that the US founding fathers fought for against the British.

Unfortunately, the US establishment always goes against the US ideals, and relies on criminals in other countries to rule their respective countries on the behalf of the US, while US calls the shots behind the scenes and makes most of the important decisions, and the puppets run the day to day affairs of state.

Truth will prevail, in sha Allah.

Imran Khan made the right call in this matter. This interview was a need of the hour. It is not clear who contacted whom in this case but Khan was heard on CNN which is good - finally.

Khan may have a 2nd term as PM, and he will have to work/deal with Americans in any case.

There was a mistake on Khan's end as well; Pakistan should have attended global democracy summit. This opportunity was missed. Khan could joke about Biden being afraid to talk to him alone in the summit. These political moments are not to be missed.

Is there a change of stance and narrative from US, and kind of trying to approach and reinvigorate US relations with Khan and PTI.

US didn't want huge anti US sentiments in Pakistan, they also miscalculated just like the Pak establishment.

They are quick to correct it, Bajwa and co. still reluctant being egomaniac and morons.

IK did played smart that he presented the letter to NSC, President and Journalists, and Top Chiefs... they all acknowledge its existence and talk about a future no confidence vote coming up when it wasn't even started, his Governance wasn't best, he might have lost the next election anyway if Opposition played their cards well and within the frame work of democratic process, but unfortunately neither American/ME/Political system nor Army let the democracy prevail in the country, every Dictator was legitimized and supported by America and after PPPP Govt, PML took charge through democratic process, than PTI won and now once again our institutions meddle in and Put Pakistan back.
