Military has its own diplomacy channel with State dept,Donald lu and others which is separate from the civilian channel. Why would Donald lu tell Asad Majeed to convey the threat to army when they have a direct diplomacy channel with military and can do so with them one to one to make sure message gets across.....Also there are other folks like military attache for such things.

Because career diplomats are not loyal to any one political party and American deep state unlike selectively naïve Army brats, understands that Pakistani foreign office is an instrument of Pakistani establishment and not a mole of PTI/IK.

It is not the American meddling, but the propensity of Pakistan’s establishment and politicians to be sell outs.

Bajwa, in most likelihood sold out due to XYZ reasons. But he was not alone. To go through with this you would need majority of the Generals on your side and the politicians on one page.

Pakistani politicians and establishment have short changed Pakistani strategic position so many times for a few $ that it’s not funny. It is both, but I agree. You first need a Trojan horse to be able to infiltrate. Bajwa is the Trojan horse. I am sure the top layer of Pakistan armed forces is filled with Trojan horses ready to substitute Bajwa.

The Americans/Europeans have figured out something very quickly with regards to Pakistanis. They are easily bought and threatened. Normally Jews are renowned for loving money etc. In my opinion Pakistanis go a step further in quest for money. The Americans buy top leadership in Pakistan with little money and minor threats. That is all it takes.

There are going to be mid term elections in the Us this coming November that have no impact on the administration. Biden is up for reelection 2024.
