Does pakistan have super speciality hospitals?

Yes it is well maintained and very clean from Inside as well, being in the federal capital also means it gets enough funds.

All your hospitals are built in a vast area..plenty of open space...we hardly have hospitals in such huge sites...anyway the quality of indian hospitals is good but are not as vast or as attractive as pakistan hospitals in these pictures...I am pleasantly surprised

We went there for my father's treatment and they were quite honest about his health condition saying there is little hope and it doesn't matter if he stays in the hospital or not. So they were obviously not money-hungry but those deciding to admit in the hospital they charge high prices for beds over night and the cost of treatment.

I felt like I was in one of the bigger hospitals in London as the inside environment was same as being a hospital in London which obviously costs a lot of money for keeping it clean and maintaining high standards.

My cousin's daughter had a heart surgery in this hospital and they were quite happy with everything. The hospital is not most expensive for sure as it shares similar prices to many other hospitals in Pakistan despite providing excellent above standard services but not made for poor people. Its an International hospital so by the looks of it, it does look an international hospital for sure

I believe that was a foreign funded private hospital... not sure

The government may have been funding or they have some special packages for poor from the allowance of charity, I do not know all that but from the looks of it, Poor people could not afford to get their medical treatment from Al-Shifa International Hospital

Some confusion between Shifa International, and another Al-Shifa trust hospitals, anyways the point is NICVD and many other posted earlier, like Kidney center, SIUT, Jinnah Hospital Karachi is government run and quite clean. Jinnah is an exception, not very clean but it is a huge hospital with some departments clean and well maintained.

Also Charity run SKMCH Lahore and Peshawar are very clean and well maintained.

The average government funded hospitals are really bad but yeah you do get treatment for free or a fraction of cost paid in private hospitals.

The bigger government funded hospitals like Sheikh Zayed Hospital are wl maintained but could not be compared with the standard of private hospitals. They do have advanced facilities though and they charge one-time registration fee of 150 rupees and we got to see the top surgeons of Pakistan. I went there after few days and they informed us that there is no fee for visiting again as we had already paid 150 rupees when we came last time. That was a surprisingly well experience

There were only 4 surgeons in Pakistan who had done liver transplantation in Pakistan and we met two of the 4 surgeons in Sheikh Zayed Hospital for free

If I don't talk about government and private funded hospitals and just a medical treatment in Pakistan then you do get treatment for 95% diseases in Pakistan and high standards but things like Liver Transplant, it is still advised to go abroad including India and China for cheapest treatment possible

Now Liver Transplant is being started/done in other hospitals as well like Ziauddin Hospital Karachi, SIUT, Karachi, PIMS must have started it now, with the news of it starting in 2014.

It is about liver donation as well. Here in Pakistan it is not that widespread. Organ donation is more in Sri Lanka and India, most of the cornea's donation is from Sri Lanka.

In Pakistan health and education sectors are most neglected ones...

If we talk about Govt hospitals...You go there for treatment of Hepatitis and you'll end up taking AIDS with you...

Private ones are best ones...but there your heart would stop beating with bill in hands.

That's dilemma of third world countries even the basic health needs are far far far from your approach..

And if you ask about animal's hospitals ..then the condition is satisfactory enough...

And mr. @Pluralist should I share the pictures of Mayo, Ganga Raam, Alied Hospital, Nishtar Hospital and etc etc...Agha Khan's charges are not affordable by a common man bhai..

I dont know about govt hospitals in other states in India
But in our state ,even though the condition is not that satisfactory ,you can find best and brilliant doctors in Govt Hospitals or medical colleges .
Except Amrita and some other others ,Private hospital are not that better when it comes to the quality of doctors .
You will get free medicines in our govt funded medical colleges and also have perfect facilities .
One of it is just 45 km from my place .A few years ago there was a successful heart transplant surgery in there.
I have heard in Amrita medical sciences in Kochi there is special facility for Arab families.
