Seems like Obama administration didn't buy all craps Japan is trying to sell about China, at desperated attempts, Japan is running everywhere these days to cozy European countries, India and Vietnam. China-US relation is 21st century win-win relation, the economy interconnectivy is to strong to be failed. What U.S wants is very clear, Japan on collar, it's not American interest to let this beast free of any actions.

I don't know how Independent Japan would be good for Asia but on thing for sure not good for US. Independant Japan mean no more American bases in Japan and the end of American's domination in Asia pacific...U.S certainly won't let that happens.

If today's bad relation between China/South Korea with Japan is all about territorial dispute then why is Abe recently making a reference of the relations between Germany and Great Britain shortly before WW2? If South Korea and Japan's sour relation today is only about Dokdo why on earth are the South Koreans still angry about what happened during WW2?

China is only claiming the shoals/islands in SCS which she discovered long ago, unlike the British Empire, the Spanish, the Dutch, the Portugese etc. who sailed all over the world and turned plenty of countries into colonies. Even the Falkland is far away from the UK who does not share any border with England is under the British rule.

You should really read this and take a good look at those maps.
