But yes poor and lower middle class have more pressing concerns to occupy themselves with than Israeli-related geopolitics etc....so maybe half of Indians actually have time to have an opinion of Israel in the first place.

True. Which is understandable. Still, not so bad for Israel I suppose to have an ally in India.
Thought up until a few days ago, i had no idea of this.

My friend @Kaptaan how do you feel about this, Sir? I know you want Pakistan to have somewhat closer relations with Israel ....?

We are friendly with everyone except Pakistan and China.

This China thingy, is it because of Tibet of their closeness with Pakistan?

The latter, especially their "assistance" to Pakistan nuclear program.

As the jewish proverb goes, the book is open, the hand is writing.

Most Indians consider China to be a military threat.

Most Indians consider Pakistan to be the enemy.

I do not think in terms of national psyche we see any other people on earth as the enemy.

Is their no hope for Pakistan though? I know we have our differences with Greece etc, although, there's always hope we can be closer in the future because of our shared "culture".

I'll ask you the same I asked Nilgiri , any hope you two nations(Pakistan) can ever be "friends" in the future?

There is hope.

But then, I'm in my 40s.

You ask a guy in his 20s, you'll probably get a different answer.

There is always hope. But much has to change, and it will take a few generations I feel (and nothing stupid happening in the interim especially next 50 or so years).

I certainly didn't expect to make so many Pakistani friends on this forum for example when I joined.

I mean even Azerbaijan and Armenia can be friends (or at least good neighbours) one day potentially....and they are even in a worse state than India and Pakistan right now imho.

That is good to hear, better to be friends than "enemies" i say. Obviously, needs a lot of work.

Yeah, Azerbaijan and Armenia is tricky, though, i even have hope for them too, i know we can help towards that.

With Israel, every reason to open a embassy with that country and have relationship based on interests. And that applies to every other country on earth except India. Zero chance. That is my opinion.

There are two aspects in this.

1. the political.
2. the historical. Every year that goes by the connections and commonalties created by the British Empire ( 98 years shared bondage) are weakened. No. 2 is beneficiary of No.1 and a 'bonus'.

Pretty awesome stuff.

Tell me about yourself buddy. Are you an Azeri Jew who emigrated to Israel?
My father's family lived in azerbaijan
but I was born and I live in Israel

He is a Khazarian Jew of Crimea/Ukraine. :-)
You are khazar yourself,
I'm jewish,I'm from the Levant--- Jerusalem-Babylon-Persia-Caucasus-Jerusalem
Now go to hell siktir

I don't think Pakistan can start official (even low key) ties with Israel anytime soon. The loss from the middle east countries would be immense.
