Do Women need protector in men?

I wonder the women who were already rich and powerful...who they would have married????And women being insecure!!!! i wonder how many times you would have ran to your mother under the security of her anchal.

Are we talking about kids here or adults ? True ,men seek protection when they are kids but women seek it forever even though they will deny it . That is the difference and that is my point .

To see who rich and powerful women marry just see all the actresses around the world. Even though they are rich and powerful themselves they always marry men even richer and more powerful than them .

Another example would be America where even though today there are more women graduates than men yet most women there still marry men who earn more than them . It is a well known statistical reality .Those who don't get guys like that , most of them end up staying single .

I see the same thing here in India as well , in all the matrimonial ads etc. if you see most women always want a desired partner who earns more than her even though she herself may be an IIM graduate earning 18 lakhs at the age of 27 . This is a reality. The only exceptions usually are when the girl is really **** ugly .

Men is ready to marry an unemployed woman..actually that was the norm few years ago until more and more women went out and got jobs but I have never seen in my life a woman being married off to an unemployed man. Man of atleast some means to earn and belonging to good families often marry from the orphanage in my city (its published in local newspapers) but never heard of a woman of a good family being married to an orphan from any orphanage with the blessings of the family..

BS. You must be taking such inspiration from Bollywood, not everybody. Girl child infanticide has nothing to do with Bollywood and its not only South Asian Ideology that men are stronger, its an universal truth. And that's why we have all the sports competitions separately for men & women. No women has ever touched the records made by men athletes. Protectors they may be or not but stronger they definitely are.

My point is that traditionally its the man who is the bread earner and the leader, while the woman is the child bearer and assists the man (and vice versa, man also assists the woman), is that not how the human species survived? There is nothing about one being superior to the other, rather both genders have their role in which they are better accustomed to than the other.

All blabbering if men had fought in WW-2 so did women.noor inayat khan is perfect example.

And all those women died along with men in bombing in camps.

Harpoon has already answered this . Women like the names you took are exceptions . Exceptions only help to prove the norm and the norm is what I mentioned .

Our culture has bred men to be the protector, the one who takes care of the family from harm. Now, men and women share this role but men do enjoy the power of being able to take a leading role when it comes to taking care of his family's protections and well being and making important decisions. Many families become dysfunctional because the men have not taken their place as protectors and providers of the household.

Men in our society have no option to sit home and raise kids while women have this option to either work or stay at home as all burden of financial responsibilities of parent, sibling and wife is on the shoulder of men. Society expect man to earn money and spend it on family but there are no such expectation from females and i am sure females will not even tolerate if their husband sit homes for few years and rely on money of their wives for personal expenses . Such men will get the insult of their partners but men has heart to spend all his money on his wife and kids without even saying a word.. so yes men is protectors and enjoy more rights because of more responsibilities ..

Society also expect men to be strong emotionally as well as physically . Mard ko dard nhi hota We often hear words dont cry like a woman..be a man etc which suggest that if a men cry then its sign of weakness but if women get hurt and start crying then its perfectly ok because she is woman There are many task where one gender is superior than others for example men is superior in physical strength while woman is superior in being sensitive, caring and nurturing. Men are superior in controlling their emotions and having self control in almost any area expect sexual appetite. Women are superior in multi tasking etc we we should be compliment to each others. We should tell feminist that Co-operation is always better than competition
