Do Women need protector in men?

Men is ready to marry an unemployed woman..actually that was the norm few years ago until more and more women went out and got jobs but I have never seen in my life a woman being married off to an unemployed man. Man of atleast some means to earn and belonging to good families often marry from the orphanage in my city (its published in local newspapers) but never heard of a woman of a good family being married to an orphan from any orphanage with the blessings of the family..

men do seek employed women in india thats the trend at least in middle and upper middle class.Btw seeking choice in marriage partner doesn't directly mean seeking protective care of men.even me seek loads of qualities in women partner.Its just preference and choice nothing else.
