Our vietnam friends want to repeat China's success in building islands, however, they take things too easy. You know it is not only about absorbing sand from the seabed, tell your guys a secret, China started to studying the alien tech about more than 20 years ago. Typical topics included that how we can build a solid runway over coral reef to let bomber land.
If you think that it is only about a few ships, then you will find too much you need to know after you really get the ships.
Come on, Vietnam friends, it is not late if you now start the research, 20 years later even your tiny country can build island like China today only if you can have so much money.
actually, i agree with you. it is right. as Vietnam cannot really repeat what China is doing now in SCS, at least, at this scale and speed. then, a more realistic and practical way to let its strategy death more extended is buying more patrol ships.
any way, SCS has nothing with Vietnam,

As per the ships, does Vietnam really need it? She needs to prioritize, perhaps acquiring more patrol vessels, replenishment ships is more important than say ships for island genesis. They don't really need it.

so Paracels and Spratly have to turn back to rightful owner : Vietnam, who is first claimed it controlled it from hundred years ago in the past. There was no troubles with China.

Both two party chef of VCP and CPC agreed that the dispute will be solve base on rule of international law. I hope this talk will be done in reality
@Nihonjin1051 You as well? im dissapointed to hear you say such a thing to be honest. This is wayyy above what Vietnam can afford. This is the last thing they should be thinking about anyway. The submarines they have recently piurchased from Russia is more than okay to deal with other claimansts in the SCS like Taiwan, Philippines and other SEA countries, im not mentioning China because there is no way Vietnam is ever going to dstand a chance against them in any Naval conflict, even if Vietnam was to spend its whole GDP on defence. Its like wishing Bengladesh can defeat India in a naval confrontation(no disrespect to my Bengladeshi friends here.lol).
