According to the New York Times, is estimated that about 42.5% of the children in India suffer from malnutrition in India


India is no where even near to becoming a developed country let alone a superpower.

While i think India Pakistan is in fact enemy on state level but we do have some understanding.We never bombed each other civilians during any war..

as far as the poverty is concerned U are always free to go to UNDP website to check ur facts and see how much has India been successfull in reducing poverty....... And my dear sir, India inspite of being 10 time biggher than pakistan have only 29% of our population living below poverty line, and you have 33% of your population below poverty line...

Hey, Now U seem to be someone whome I underestimated as just a fool , now u just prooved that you are even worser than that, Those indians either had money to go there or were born there, in both the cases it only means that they are and were rich. and Yes india has poor people , But being a large country like ours have decreased our poverty from 49% to 29 and 0% in another decade... but small population like pikistan have 33%, why is that so? would you care to answer that??

And many Indians who are residing in the countries you say were either born there, or do not get the required opportunity as they want, see In India he/she cannot get a luxury as that of USA or UN... oh do also check out the world bank website and UNDP website, to get ur facts right that India is a front runner in poverty reduction in south asia and an emerging economic superpower

This Media has absolutely destroyed everything, I have no doubt that coming Indian generations will consider Pak a land of Demons & terror bcoz they see it every day on the TV
& on the other hand in places like Abu Dhabi, Dubai etc Indians & Pakistanis are living with each other
I have a very nice friend & she's Indian

2. Again all I wanted to say that everyone accepted existance of Pakistan. Perhaps this is why we have consulates/embassy in Pakistan and vice-versa.

3. First of all, what has water issue has to do with understanding between India and Pakistan. Please open a new thread and we will be happy to talk.

4. You can say distrust. But here we are discussing over understanding. There is no evidence against India yet but yes, you know India is behind that all because you guys have third eye view. I am not saying India is a saint but try to think about all this.

5. Again the context was more of religion than anything. I fail to see this theory that muslims are shown in a negative character. This is most absurd of all statements.

7. No one is saying to leave Kashmir issue. There is also a thread on that 7 solution which you can refer. I understand there are distrust & misunderstanding between the countries but this thread was opened in a positive touch and we should atleast leave this one. And kindly explain what happens "when a muslims calls another muslim" theory.

Not really.

Contrary to what is felt & said here, I feel the media has helped. The ' swayable' masses ( mostly the religious fundamental types) will remain the same on both sides with or without the media coz they will believe only what they want to believe.

The rest mostly youngsters actually are smart & capable to sift thru the chaff of crap that is churned out by channels who have to spew something to be visible.

Years ago, when radio was the primary means of info gathering, we had worse mindsets than today. Now, even if our own channels air biased news / information there are a host of neutral channels who make us aware that the common man on both sides has the same probs, eats the same food, celebrates the same festivals etc.

I am hard put to explain to my son why I am so keen to be on such sites when there is ' so much else to do' in life.He meets Pakistanis and finds them as good / bad as himself. His friends too don't care for India more than at best the next cricket match.

The key is education ,being young & perceptive / discernible.
