THIS SHOULD BE THE IDEAL WAR FORMATION FOR A AIR FORCE..ie it should have the best fighter in less numbers but at front...suplemented by second best in more numbers and so on...
this war formation was used by iaf in 1971...
also in a recent report pentagon called this as the best war formation to win a war for any air force...but iaf is doing something like this

which was recently criticized by a parliamentary committee.the committee recommended to increase mmrca order and reduce the size of 30 mki by 50 i.e 230...also asked to develop tejas mark -2 and have near about 300 mk-2 planes in the inventory AS WELL AS 110 MIG-21BIS ????

what u all say...folks...(CONSIDERING PAK -FA WILL BE INDUCTED FROM 2018 ONWARDS...

but the problem is MRCA is good 10 yrs. away from being inducted completely and MK-2 is also supposed to be inducted around 2018 and later...
now if you want 300 MK-2 s ...imagine how many years it will take to induct them

even in MRCA case i dont like this whole drama of producing so many aircrafts in HAL..it should have been 50-50..we all know how fast HAL is..

I also hope sir.....my vote goes to rafale/typhoon....
both are really gr8 beasts...
also rafale has 14 hard points as comp. to 13 on typhoon
but Caesar radar of typhoon is considered to be most powerfull along wth zhuk aesa radar.......

IAF has always been regarded as one of the best air forces, but the fact remains, when it comes to the deliverance... IAF as always unable to deliver.. so whats the use of having such an Air Force? LOL... '65 war exchange ratio 2.4:1 in favour of PAF (17 PAF kills vs 7 IAF kills) '71 war... 1.8:1 in favour of PAF (18 PAF kills vs 10 IAF kills) & you people lost numerous aircraft to PAF & Army Air Defence during kargil conflict, stats say it all... IAF war doctrine...COmplete faliure always!

well, the piece of document you provided is quite unofficial, with most of the kill claims termed as (?) question marks, LOL this shows that you have no valid record for the kill... & quite strange, the number of lost PAF aircraft you mentioned is no way near the battering of Halwara, Pathankot... as your own Air Chief Marshal PC Lal, then CAS IAF commented that India was rendered helpless by this raid & you withdrew half of the canberra bombers & hunter fighters from front line service... for more Authentic details refer to (Group Captain M. sir,this is the official press release by CURRENT MOD DEFENSE SECRETARY of india...mr. vinay kumar....in Nov 2005 in reply to an rti query by british historians group arthur banks foundation....now dont say u dont know him...google him..

Also mr. b.hary was a military official currently<1971-1974> posted in jammu and Kashmir as an observer...during the war on 5th DEC....he went back to delhi...so as to leave for his country till 13 Jan,1973...when he returned..he was selected in the panel formed by the un to look into the war...
