Discovery Channel reveals what it takes To Be in the Indian Army's Premier Strike Force

. . .
Indeed, our border police officers were sent there to train them
Looks like training for Mumbai Police - Force One!
No power to translate tho
Back in 2009 (just after 26/11) these guys helped raise Maharastra State Police's special response team (Force One).

Thanks for digging this video up bro, it is a favourite of mine! Despite having no clue what they are saying it is clear that these guys formed a close bond and the lead instructor seems to be a very decent guy.

Training from the Royal Marines or the SBS!!?? Excellent! ... Reminds me of The Cockshell Heroes

.
I never said that. Stop your emotional rants and quit quoting me if you don't have anything relevant to say.

In combat experience, SSGs are far ahead of Indian Paratroopers keeping in mind factors such as difficulty of operations, scale of operations conducted, strength and capability of the enemies faced, and the time period both forces conducted sustained operations.

SSGs have conducted SpecOps which involved hundreds of operatives simultaneously fighting in immensely challenging environments, and they have also faced other elite special forces in direct combat (during Soviet invasion in Afghanistan).

What do you have? Paratroopers operating in Bhutan?!! Nepal?!!! Myanmar?!!! wow..must be a very challenging environment for India to operate in such complex, hostile, and threatening environments facing immensely powerful and sophisticated enemies  We had it easy in Afghanistan against punny Soviets and in Europe (since Europe (Bosnia) is quite next door to us, you know...unlike far away hostile lands like Nepal).

Let's not put yourself in box...

Oh you mean the battle for Hill 3234?
The SSG had so successfully defeated the Soviets.
UK, US, China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Afghanistan had to just sit back as Pakistanis single-handedly made the Soviets retreat.

You lot really talk up Zarb e azb but the fact was tanks and jets cleared up the area and destroyed whole towns before your infantry and SSG moved in to sweep off what else was left.

SSG performance against our regular infantry show how good your SFs actually are. That's fact.

As for combat experience, our SFs operate regularly in UN peace keeping operations, India being the largest contributor in the peace keeping effort. That is as challenging as can be, whereas Pakistan operating in their own backyard means zilch.

Kid, stop quoting me and writing your gibberish when the senior members---with much more knowledge and some of em having actual military experience with Indian military--have already discussed this to length.

You can keep your smileys and idiocy to yourself and go get a gf loner...

Your bold post? Measuring the genital size are we?

Let me debunk you now:

1. Difficulty of Operations: You have air support in the primary zone of conflict for your SSG today. SFs in India - nil

2. Scale of Operations: I hope you do understand the difference between a special op and an infantry size assault? I say this as I read a really funny one from you on 100s of men ...or something like that. We have '100s' of men teams deployments in form of Special Heli Borne Ops (SHBO) teams, which every unit of Indian Army trains at!!

3. Strength? That is why @Abingdonboy gave you the 1:100000 figure in favour!!!

4. Capabilities of Enemies Faced: As per you our troops are useless, militants of FATA are useless. We on the other hand, have to fight you, vastly 'superior' enemy!!!

5. Time Period: Since 1950. We had concept of Special Operations Group. Then renamed Special Group.

Remainder of your post:

Ask your troops of BAT actions carried out in response to your transgressions.

Cheers.

According to him Indian SF is not well dressed like his SSG, apparently he thinks every SF in the world has to do mujra in front of the terrorists so they should be well dressed like SSG.
Ahh, forget it, it's settled now. He's entitled to his opinions and he has given his reasoning behind his thinking, so let's just leave it at that.

Well, as per him, their on going operations against the TTP has given their SF operators some highly valuable experience, which is a fact to be honest, that being said, I'm still not convinced that it has made them ahead than Indian SOF operators. But what can you say, everyone is entitled to his/her opinions, it's their right after all.You can't really convince people out of their set of long-held beliefs, well most of the times you can't.

I thought the BAT operations are usually carried out by the Ghatak platoons, that's what they do, right??

I have a very healthy respect for SSG. Heck, there is a fraternity wherein SSG and SF/PARA are brothers ... world SF fraternity .. they bond closer than brothers even with their potential enemies. Crazy!!

I digress. The experience they have gained is unique for them, our is unique for us. To compare the two is useless, incorrect and baseless. It is actually a foolishness, like comparing you and I, we both have unique skills and experiences which give us edge in certain situations over others merely due to the familiarity of the parameters.

I would not know, now, would I?

I can understand that, as crazy as it may sound.

Exactly, as every theatre is unique in its own way, so is the experience gained.

I would not know, now, would I?
