Difficult to be unbeliever in religious India: From an atheist's mouth

To be honest I never seen a single muslim called himself atheist.

So many of your Indian friends are atheist?

How can you be Muslim and atheist at the same time? o_O

If you mean people who were born into Muslim families (Still does not make you Muslim if you dont believe in it) and then became atheists, then yes, I know many of them, especially young women (Not surprisingly)

Religion by birth.
Atheist, what he believes.

Is that really hard to understand??

Think its high time GOI starts providing Atheism or no religious affiliation as an option to fill up forms too

Seems atheist has become a another fashion buzz word some want to adopt to look fashionable even when they dont know what it really is .

Pretty judgmental.

In India religion has only one objective that is interfere in other's beliefs.
But still India is much safer for an atheist than some other countries in the region.

Nothing new .... He could practice or preach what he has observed good or bad without any fear of death penalty....

:) are these self-proclaimed "atheists" are not? that too being one against milllions of people.

What makes the "millions" right? Considering that most religions cancel each other out by claiming to be the only true one?

Btw, Buddhism & Jainism are atheistic religions, not like you can just dismiss it.

:) Are we even talking about who is right and who is wrong?

the garbage posted in the opening page has anything to do with atheism even?

Even Hinduism doesn't forbid anyone from being a non believer though such school of thoughts have been sidelined
