Different names on different passports

I don't know if anyone can help me with this but I thought I would ask. I have recently become an Australian citizen and changed my name in the process. The change isn't major (from Mohammad Harris to Harris Mohammad Malik). However, the problem is I can't change my Pakistani passport as I have a SMART NICOP. They don't issue them in Australia yet so I can't change the name until I get to Pakistan.

Now, I have to travel to Pakistan in February for 4 days leave for a month and then come back to Pakistan. I can get my name change done then but I am not sure if it will cause issues for me in entering and leaving Pakistan as I will be using my Australian passport to travel primarily (no visa required with it to go to UK). Does anyone have any experience with this? I'd appreciate some advice. Thanks!

Seriously though I think it won't be a problem if you have the visa on your Australian passport. Pakistani authorities (FIA) don't know that you have changed your name in Australia.

You can request name change for passport happens all the time

As per Pakistani Embassy and Consulate in UAE, any name change even if it be a removal or addition of an alphabet must be first done on the NICOP and then on the Passport.

I have tried changing my name on my NIC when I was in Pakistan. They refused to do it because at that time I hadn't become an Australian citizen and wanted me to change my O' Levels certificate first. And they haven't started issuing smart NICOP in Australia yet so I can't change it here either.

I think the problem is also entering the country. My Australian passport won't have a Pakistani visa either so I'll have to show my Pakistani passport (with my old name). That is the issue I am quite concerned about. Although like you said I feel like I'll be asked for the blue ones!
