see again we are looking at things from religious perspective
Hinduism is not a religion it's a way of life. Ergo even aetheist can be Hindus.
So it's our way of life which binds so many ppl.
its an endless controversy. even Rani Pedmini has become an issue of today..
Rani Padmini was married to a king called Rawal Ratan singh who had 12 other wives. Khilji was threatened by Rajputs and it's strength came from Chittorgarh.
Chittorgarh was and is one of the biggest fort. It had ,till then, not been come unde siege ever.
Khilji, the great strategist that he was, decided to trap Ratan Singh and get admission inside the fort. He said he will not attack Mewar if he is shown Padmini...Ratan Singh allowed him to catch only her reflection. But that was enough time for Khilji and his trusted ministers to study the fort.
So when Khilji finally attacked the fort, the Rajput women performed Jouhar(immolation).
Where's the controversy here?
Yes a stupid director dared to come up with a script in which Padmini was to romance Khilji.
History should not be distorted under the garb of artistic freedom of expression.
and partition was never the nail, it were other things.
Which were ....?
and we the Aryans invaded all of the sub-continent, which when we pick and choose from history with religious perspective, we simply ignore as it doesnot fit with our narrative of who was invader.
Aryan invasion theory?
I don't believe in it. Britishers were good at concocting such things.
I would suggest that instead of following the narrow ideology of hinduism
Hindus believe in Vasudeva kutumbakam (the world is one family).
Narrow ideology?
I don't think so.
[quoye], its time to embrace the fact that all religions can co-exist, [/quote]
Lol
Isnt that what I just said?
trust me Pakistan isnot going anywhere, nor are muslims or christians or sikhs or tamils or bengalis.
But who said that in the first place?
Not me.
ou will know this in 20-30 years where Modi is taking India, as we know now where Zia took us.. band gali
I have always believed that PEOPLE PELT STONES AT TREES WHICH BEAR FRUITS.
