It is still a two nation theory even after 1971, the theory was Muslims and Hindus cannot live together. In 1971 Banglas were mistreated and had a right to secede but they didn't join India either so two nation theory is still intact.

recognizing something is totally a different thing, its believe on which TNT was based and its still valid as BD mostly people believe in the same as us

TNT is based on religion and believes of Hindus and Muslims,it says both are different nations as one think COW as god and other eat cow so this is just one area of difference, which is valid in BD as well as they are majority Muslims.

There are many sources which rank us at no.3 . But the actual data can only be verified after the GoI gives out the demographic data of 2011 census which they have not untill now . One has to wonder why .
