May be army first served NS with some heavy lunch, with choice dishes of mutton. After the lunch, if they made some presentation on Kargil plans and their implications; NS would hardly know or even care, what the hell they are talking. Presentations, made by army, are often very tedious, particularly for a person of the kind of NS. In this process, they could have easily extracted requisite approval from this clown.

General Musharraf's claim of informing the PM is not enough. Did he get the necessary permission from his Constitutionally superior authority for the operation or not is the legal question.

By the way, why didn't Nawaz argue that Indra Gandhi and Gen.Zia were back stabbed by Indian Army in 80s by militarizing a previously non-militarized Siachin Glacier? That was the aggression that was pending with a right to response from Pakistan's side.

No it is not. Tiny drops of green in arid yellow is precious little. It still is desert. And just so that you know even what they have done is thanks to water having been 'pinched' from upper Indus tributery rivers in Punjab like Ravi etc. That is why we have had deficit on the Pak side of Punjab and a huge surprus on the Indian Punjab side much of which has been diverted south into Rajasthan deserts via Indira Gandhi canal.

It failed to Create a Power Sharing system b/w the Political/Governing Elites and General Public of the new State, this thing gave opportunity other power hungry elements both from Civilian and Military segments

yes during early days but they both realise the importance of the support of elites from non Military background, Nawab KalaBagh is one Prime example of limitation faced by Ayub

You mean like the paper work that was going around all over the place in India when they were planning Feb26th attack so that ISI can pick it's trail, lol.

I'm not defending Musharraf at all, I don't know who is telling the truth between him and Musharraf dear.

It's a known fact that Nawaz had an attention span of not more than 10 seconds. Good luck being serious with him when top of his agenda is devouring and commending chicken sandwiches on the table or pointing out lack of them.

Imagine Nawaz understand the operational maps used for the briefing, trying to figure out what the line on the map meant in terms of real distances on the ground, or what the military symbols signified, may be he was told the exact thing but may be he was led on a wild goose chase of maps he could hardly understand if they were affixed to Kim bakers demarcated zones.
