   you'll perhaps die earlier than Xi. Can you predict the future?
It could be a truck runs you over. I am sure Xi will live longer than you. Probably everyone in this forum will live longer than you. :omghaha:

That’s a risky bet. The air here in Germany is fresher than in China. Today more people die because of air pollution than car accidents. Xi wants to be the forever president. He wants to live forever. I think he will inject mercury in his vein like the first Han emperor.

Who on earth chose to do such a risky job???
Why risk a submarine getting damaged going near to shipping boats?
What do you expect from chinese clowns? they are running amok. What’s else?Soon, they will cruise aircraft carriers before our beaches.

Seriously?
You can breathe all the fresh air you want after the truck runs you over.

Are you illiterate? Did you read the article you posted? If the submarine surfaced when it didn't originally intend to it was to save the lives of these fishermen. If I were the captain of that submarine I would have stayed submerged, the lives of Vietnamese fishermen aren't worth compromising my mission. If that's what happened I hope the captain is reprimanded when he goes ashore.
I read the article. And the sub surfaced out of SELF PRESERVATION, not because of the Chinese crew's sense of humanity.

The PLAN should be glad that YOU were not a member of its forces, let alone a sub captain. So assume that the sub's captain did what you ignorantly thought the correct thing to do, which is to stay submerged, at worst you would have killed yourself and your crew, at best, you would have surface anyway but be dead in the water.

Submarine entanglement in various underwater objects are not new, particularly with fishing nets. How about all the way back in WW I?

PARIS, April 6. -- A German submarine has become securely entangled in a net specially designed for that purpose...

MOSCOW (AP) _ A Soviet submarine taking part in naval maneuvers got caught in the fishing net of a Danish trawler in the Baltic Sea and had to be cut loose, the official Tass news agency said today.

If YOU were the captain and chose to remained submerged while entangled in fishing nets, not only would you have violated peacetime safety protocols, but you would have signed the death warrants of the entire crew. Given the fact that China have a gender imbalance, your incompetency as a boat* captain would have increase that imbalance by a little bit. China would have been so embarrassed that most likely yours and your crew's remains would be left sunk, either to serve as coral reef or be salvaged by the Viets.

First...The article does not say HOW and WHERE on the sub was the entanglement. Was it on the conning tower, or the prow, or the fins, or worst -- the screw? But no matter what, any damages to the sub's outer skin would result in increased sub-surface noise while underway and reveals the sub's position as it travels. So if YOU chose to remain submerged, you deserved to be shot for gross incompetency under China's military disciplinary system.

Second...If the worst -- the screw got entangled -- did happened, the sub's captain had no choice but to surface. On the surface is where he will be able to communicate and calls for help, even if all the help he can get is from the Viets. The screw is life. The sub have only one screw. It cannot be replaced in the field. If the screw and/or the sub's propulsion system is damaged in any way, the sub is literally stranded wherever it is, so in this event, the sub's captain was far smarter than you are and did the right thing. He saved the boat and his crew.

Third...If the screw got entangled in the extreme and the sub did not surface under propulsion, the other choice is blowing the main ballast tanks (MBT) but that is dangerous in itself. According to submariners, blowing the MBT is not a casual event. It must be calculated to execute at the right depth and rate. Do it wrong and the MBT could be flooded and sink the sub. The MBT did not saved the USS Thresher and she sank with all hands on board.

* By the way, a submarine is always called a 'boat' by submariners. Even this air force guy know that. :enjoy:

So in the end, when it comes to technical issues, as usual, you guys ended up with eggs on faces. For this event, the article's author did not do proper research and assumed that the sub captain saved Vietnamese lives when in reality he did not know what he got into, that he was in some kind of physical trouble, and the only thing to do was to surface to save his command and his crew. You can bet your life that upon return, the sub's captain and the executive officer will be 'retired' from service.

This viet troll’s intelligence is near 0 to comprehend anything from the article. He couldn’t troll but cause happy laughters.
See above.

Everyone dies, Xi isn't exceptional. But like I said, everyone of us here will live longer than you. You'll see why in the future. :D
