Diamer Bhasha Dam: Russia wants to take up project without bidding

Well then there is nothing for you to worry about , Now is there ?

Only thing i am wondering is , why are you here Crying & telling us Russia wont Do This , Russia wont do that blah blah blah , This is a matter between Russia & Pakistan , there is NO india , & you neither have Authority nor Force to make either one do what you want .

The Balance has Shifted , this time you choose America & we Decided to learn from our past .

Because Bhasha Dam is being constructed in Jammu and Kashmir. India made World Bank and ADB to stop financing it, so we expect same from Russia as Russia a friendly country to India always supporting India over Kashmir.

I know a guy whose name is Naheed. Can you imagine that? A man's name being Naheed!! :) :)

indians dont poke your nose, its bilateral matter between Pak-Russia. Dont act like jealoused woman.

The Cold war is over. India is now closer to US than Pakistan in the new realignment.

Russia is sending a clear signal by Putin's visit to Pakistan, a historic first by a Russian president.

Here's a recent Op Ed in Russian newspaper Pravda titled "Pakistan can make Russia Queen of Asia":

It is important to remember that Pakistan sits on the crossroads of east to west and north to south trade corridors, including the new Silk Road Project in South Asia, which the Americans cherish. Russia needs to firmly define its economic priorities and defend them strongly. If the resources are not needed, then one should keep the transportation routes of those resources under control. A mega breakthrough is possible in the future: the "Persian Gulf - Bering Strait" railroad. The road will cross the Trans-Siberian Railway, the Turksib and the Trans-Asian Railway from China to Europe.

You are correct. The Cold War is over.

India is not as close to Russia as it was to the USSR.

These dams take so much time to be built. They should've had been given the priority way back. Well, better late than sorry.

I remember when Benazir Bhutto became the Prime Minister the first time as a result of 1988 elections she declared and it was headline: "We will first make Bhasha Dam".
Hmmmm. How many years ago?

1988 is relatively recent. For how many years has the Kalabagh Dam been promised to the nation?

"Promise" is a strong word! It's been talked about for a long time but was always rejected by minor provinces of Pakistan. But Bhasha is largely acceptable and one would have thought, with democracy returning to Pakistan in 1988/89 and with someone from a small province like Benazir Bhutto there would be progress.
In between 1988 and 2012 Pakistan has seen all kinds of rulers and still no progress yet. Almost a quarter century of talk, talk, and talk. Pathetic.

You guys need to take Pravda less seriously. It is a archaic Communist Party newspaper from Soviet-era and Pravda means "The Truth" in Russian, so you can imagine what kind of media outlet Pravda really is.....
