But why should the government be collecting such information about private religious beliefs in the first place for any citizen?

Agriculture has taken a direct hit by governmental policies and since the money making is now in the power generation or dam making business there is little hope for timatars these days although there are some plans afoot.

But most religious zealots are all the same, whether home grown or foreign. These ones sitting at the top in faizabad are a dubious lot, serving to distract the general public from the pressing matter of objectionable laws enacted in the name of electoral reforms but seemingly putting pressure on Govt. to throw out the law minister.

I think the real question is who instigated this debacle in the first place instead of a witch hunt for a suitable scape goat.
