those were the days when Bengali movies were shown in all major film festivals.it was the golden peiod of Bengali cinema with directors like Satyajit Ray,Mrinal Sen,Ritwick Ghatak,Tapan Singha making world class bengali movies with peanut sized budgets.
but the good thing is that the present bengali directors are also making some good movies in the recent times and they have managed to create quite a fanbase among the young bengali population in W.B.

Lets not tag the films as art film, films like 22se srabon, autograph, Aparajita Tumi, Bhuter Bhobisyat and others were quite commercially successful while being very urban and suave films.

Even plenty of good films in bollywood were directed by Bengali directors, off the top of my head I can remember Kahani, Vicky Donor, Barfi etc.

Sorry yeah it's Hong Kong films, my bad it's been some time since I've been to Bangladesh. But what I've seen with the Bangladesh people especially the male population is that they love their cliche action/fighting films which Bollywood tends to have a lot of. Back home they love Shahrukhan, Amir Khan, Saif Ali Khan etc. When 'Ghajini' came out they went crazy over it lol.

Still much better than committing themselves to "live action" don't you think?

who wanna stay in a hell ?wakeup at 5:30am get quick ready and your pitty start from 6:00 am to 7:00 am.get fresh run to the dinning and take a quick breakfast keep runnig and get ready for you combatdress.boots checked,blet checked,cap checked,bag checked.office start from 8:30 am .first report co then go back to your desk.call the runner and get all the sick report books atleast 20 patients.first patient with a broken tooth and ask what happend he said, ''sir i lost two of my central incisors hit by hockeystick.'' and you start galigalaz ,'' banchod bangladesh army is getting full by unfit people.get lost'' no treatment.whole day passed by bokowaz .suddenly co sir's sister in law came for army free scaling. spend chill time with her and take 2 hours atleast .co's wife invite you her house because you are single .bokowaz till 2:30 pm and office over.back to the mess ,take a quick shower and get dinning.take a short nap becuase the game will be start from 4:00pm. 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm and rest 30 mins bokowaz.6:00pm get back to your room and get fresh wear formal dress then go to the mess recreation room. watch bangla movie or chayachondo becuse mess hawalder hannan is operating the tv remote and you smoke as much as you can .bored?oh dont .it's 7:00 pm and the beaugol for rollcall played.rollcall and motivation from 7:00 to 7:30 pm.then go back to the office and stay till 9:00pm.then back to your mess room. get ready for the dinning .oh DGMS Maj gen.X has dinning with you and you are pissed off because he is always angry for no reason and give you tons of useless advices.keep calm.back to your room and smoke and pick bd armys fourteen generation.realy such a rough day bro.nd this is your everydays life.if you love this riasat ''join bangladesh army''.whole my life i saw this crap with my dad then my elder brother then me and my sister after me.my dad died as a soldier and proud him.my elder brother still in army and not promoted yet because of politics.i and my sister both quit and we both are happy and new better life now.i have a pvt dental clinic and atleast i can eat some dalvat with my freedom .my sister is in ohio, completed her MBA and doing a better job now.army life shows pretty fancy from the outside but its a real hell in there.just ask anyone from the army.you get same answer from each an everyone.well the airforce has much easy life.the navy life is so taugh too
