I'd be surprised if no indian cities made it to the ranking of around 140 cities. Maybe indian cities are higher up in the list?

Interestingly the criteria does not include security. Dhaka is not bothered with bombings and shootings that regularly occur in other large cities of SA. The problem is not Dhaka's but the entire nation's. Our land space is too little to support a population of over 200 mlln (officially 160 mlln).

Delhi is at 112 and Mumbai 116. Not that great, but still better than Dhaka.

Interestingly it does. If you look at the fifth column, "stability", it includes security situation as well.

Im shocked dhaka is not ranked the worst city to live in. The traffic is by far the worst I have seen in my life and the roads very poorly planned.

Most of such studies on ranking of cities, products are basically sponsored by top participants to attract tourists, media coverage. case in point is position of Tehran which got lower position as a better position will be positive coverage for Iranian Government. These studies are like 'who is number one heroine at bollywood?'. These rankings are not conducted on scientific basis as judgements/biases are involved in ranking. We should not take such things seriously.

Dhaka can be good city to live if we can some how cut the population in half. This is how Dhaka look during Eid. This can be achieved through decentralization and relocation the heavy industries in port city Chittagong. However, idiots in Dhaka thinking otherwise.

Industry is based on proximity to natural resources, govt centres and infrastructure.
