I wasn't talking to you actually. But to answer your flame bait: I'm not interested in a flame game here . The most important resource needed to develop "rocket science" (I didn't literally mean rocket tech in my original post, lol) is intelligence and we have an abundance of that. The rest of the resources can be bought with money, and we need lots of it! If you ever met a Bengali scientist or engineer in your life, you'd know what I'm talking about . South Korea, a smaller nation, develops and operates their own space tech and are progressing rapidly.

The attitude to entrepreneurship is now once again fast changing with thousands of students enrolling in BBA, MBA and commerce courses. Unfortunately very few want to be doctors, lawyers or accountants. There is a get rich quick attitude that is spoiling society.

Strongly disagree here. They are studying BBA and MBA to get good jobs. Entrepreneurship can't be taught. It's in the blood. Either you have it or you don't. Entrepreneurs are inherently risk takers - most BBA/MBA students I know avoid taking risks and just want to live an ordinary life with a good spouse and their own home in Dhaka.

Really? And how many Bangladeshis have you known exactly? I do favors for people to whom I owe regardless if Bangladeshi or foreign. Myself grew up mostly abroad.

Being grateful does not mean you can use us as bait on based on your own whims. Friendship has its limits.

And certainly, no friend tries to tear away another's territory as you tried to do in CHT. That is nothing short of back stabbing.

I didn't say that doing an MBA or BBA were the right way to becoming an entrepreneur. In any case entrepreneurs need MBA and BBAs to run their businesses.

It helps, but not necessarily "needed". The richest entrepreneurs in Bangladesh, such as the owners of Bashundhara, Jamuna and Square Groups, did not complete higher education.

And the reason why there is generally a lack of professionalism and corporate culture in those companies, and much of Bangladeshi corporations. Although, Square Group is pretty good.

Only a handful of Bangladeshi companies like Rahimafrooz are actually good.

All companies in Bangladesh lack professionalism and good corporate culture, when compared to the western society! That's because a few men at the top with MBAs and whatnot cannot change anything. There are many companies in BD run by ex business executives. But it's the same picture everywhere.

Again, I emphasize my belief that you don't need an MBA or BBA to be an entrepreneur. Even in North America, some of the largest companies were founded and led by non-MBA dudes and college drop-outs. CEO/CFO/COOs and senior managers with MBA are hired to run their companies, but then again these guys are not entrepreneurs, they are employees!

Yes, entrepreneourship certainly has nothing to do with formal education or school degrees. In case of most of the big companies throughout the world, one can see these uneducated or half-educated initiators of these companiers worked hard to rise up. At a certain point, however, they need the assistance of degree holders to systemize their operations and for further expansion of their businesses. So, they hire BBA, MBA or other degree holders.

However, it can also be seen that the most of the second generation owners of these comanies hold University degrees, but, they are not really enterpreneors like their fathers.
