He had actually literally just reached there, I think he was a little confused because he wasn’t expecting media to be present there questioning him so early. That’s why the confusion, plus anything and everything he says will be taken a hundred different ways right now given who he is, where he is, and what he’s there for, he did the right thing by literally telling nothing. Even if he did it instinctively.

Not sure what purpose was served to highlight this visit except maybe self promotion and making a strong bid to be the next Army Chief.

He actually did a great job with that answer, for you to think he is nervous or camera shy is a testament to that. He intentionally did all that, just pause his smile at the end and you would get to know if he is really nervous or he just burned the asses of certain 1 billion+ peeps. Your media is having PTSD since last 10 hours.

i am happy as long as there is enough confusion in this room - Ex ISI chief Asad Durrani once said in an interview with Mehdi Hasan.

Confusing people is the easiest job for them. They are there to confuse States and Nations, its such a big game. This time around it was obvious for Pakistanis that he was faking it, trying to avoid that question, or create confusion. His smile at the end gave it away though for me.
