Realisation of sub-assemblies within 3 years.
Realisation of major assemblies and testing in 3 years.
Final assembly, equipping and integration at FACO including Ground Vibration Test and Structural Coupling Test within 4 years.

NGTD-2 in 4 years.

Flight Testing Completion within 6 years.

2025, here we come.

Wait, is the prototype or? I know there is a 1:1 model doing intensive RCS testing. Very lucrative program for the private sector. Who are also just beginning to make Tejas modules, along with foreign OEM designs.

It looks like he is ordering a hamburger.

And the guys behind him are like, "Damn... can I slap your belly?"

Prototype of course.
Two of them, with flight testing to be completed in six years.

But it looks like ADA wants to call this a TD and make full-fledged prototypes after this.

Another Tejas in the making.
Agreed.
It took Tejas only 11 years from final design to first flight. Those 11 years included sanctions and establishing needed labs.
Now we've the labs and private industry backing for aircraft modules and no sanctions.

Truly the offspring of Tejas with a realistic 4 year target to TD and 6 year target to flight test completion.

Not a good idea at the moment.......maybe post 2025 after tejas deliveries stabalize and we receive good numbers of rafale and fgfa/su-57.

I'd love to see the Indian Su57 and more Rafales, but no way we can wait for that. AMCA has been running in the background with its own team. It'll be 2030 when production starts. It won't be as heavy as Su57.

Tejas production will stabilise by 2020. We'll probably see Mk2 around 2027.

5 th gen requires lot of R&D.....u can go and check the money we are spending. As i said ,wait till we are ready. At the moment we should focus on lca mk2 and mk1a.We simply lack the capability and especially the funds to anything more.Time will tell i was right if they go ahead with the plans.

The things we are trying require budget of 70-80 billion dollars.

F35 took $55B for R&DTE.
In Indian money, that should be much less.
Engine for prototypes and maybe even early production will be F414.
Other expenses are a necessity. If we start now, we'll have it operational by 2035. How much further can we wait!

Mk1A is a HAL project and even Mk2 will likely have HAL prints. ADA is an elite team and their duty in this age should be nothing less than the stealth domain. Otherwise it's a waste of talent.
Money is indeed a problem right now, but nothing that can't be done if we let go stupid ideas like F16/Gripen.

My estimation is that AMCA time line will depend on tech transfer from someone, in this case, PAKFA.Without PAKFA knowledge, India won’t be able to create AMCA in a hundred years. India has no advance research ability and its completely dependent on tech transfer.

In which way would PAKFA contribute?
I'm not saying it won't contribute, but I'm curious what you think.
