Details of a joint project between "Russia and Saudi Arabia" on the design of a civilian supersonic

hope it fair better than Russia previous attempt at such project
who remember a disaster called Ty-144 they introduced it in 75 and retired it from civilian service in 78 and commercially in 83
Well, Western one was not so succesfull, too. 20 ct. technologies were not enough good for such planes.

yes that was also not successful thanks to Boeing 747 and DC-10,but let be frank your plan in 3 years only made 55 flight , Concorde worked from 1976-2003 and honestly was far far more nicer to the technicians who had to maintain it

Yes. French plane was better.
Tu-144 was absolutely unprofitable in Soviet Union because of non-existence of rich people. The ticket price was too high for ordinary Soviet sitizens.

And lots of technical glitches/Crashes for bad and raw desgin, its not finished (correct) designed @vostok

Better Saudi invest in R 80 Aircraft project. It is a project of PT RAI, Indonesian private company under Habibie family to make a rival aircraft of ATR 72. The company is still seeking investor. I think businesses wise it is more feasible than making a supersonic passenger aircraft.

I thought it was made for airlines like aeroflot.

Not sure if it would be economically viable. The sole reason why the Concorde was abandoned.

However from a technological/engineering aspect, KSA contributing to such an endeavor would fit into the overall Saudi Arabian Vision of 2030 and the rapid scientific and indigenous military growth of late that I expect will only grow in the future.

Even if only making certain parts of a supersonic jet engine (not talking about mastering the whole process as Russia would most likely not help with that), getting into that field would be very beneficial.

BTW a costly process. Not sure if the Russian military and private firms would want to spend the money and time on such a thing without knowing whether it would be economically feasible. Takes at least 5+ years to do it if not more. Likewise not sure if being a part of such a project would be a priority for KSA given all the other ongoing projects.

Negativity aside, we will see.
