Destroying the economy to save the thieves

Dude, this is minor in the grand scheme of things.

The BD economy is still the fastest growing large developing economy in the world. If it was that corrupt it would not be growing so fast.

Soeharto regime is corrupt and Indonesia can still grow at 6-8 % under his long rule (32 years)

As long as the corruption does not hamper economic growth then it is not that bad a thing.

You can have a regime with little corruption but poor economic policy which is worse as then there is next to no growth.

Massive amounts of corruption usually leads to poor economic growth as the money that should be spent on development(like education, infrastructure etc) gets siphoned away like in some countries in the region.

A corrupt but competent regime is much better than an honest incompetent one.

In case of Hasina’s alternative - Zia is both corrupt and incompetent.

I doubt you were alive during Zia's rule. Read some history please.

His wife and him are not part of the same story.

What a lopsided theory a person can invent!!!

Zia?

The guy who spent his time butchering 500+ military officers to death. Including Taher.

Guy who opened us up to Wahhabi hell!!!

That guy?

Zia was a deluded fantasist and an incompetent administrator.

Dhaka airport was utterly corrupt during his rule. Military officers used Dhaka airport as their piggy bank. They were so grateful they named the airport after him 🤣🤣🤣

Our elderly Sylheti relatives will never forgive the thievery at the airport during Zia’s and Ershad’s rule!

Virtually every suitcase used to be cut open and goods stolen!!!!

Anyway, I cannot respect anyone who cannot keep their wife away from other men!!

It is the basic duty of a man under Islam!!

Being a Dhakaya darkie - he was blinded by a fair skinned wife!!
