Truth should be told although it may annoy people. I have many Chinese friends here in Australia. And ALL OF THEM have adopted everything Western. They now even copy the white man by buying a pet dog so that they can go for morning walks with the dog. No joke.
So, although you may not like it, the reality won't change. Now don't take this the wrong way but if Chinese people are copying Western culture, then there is nothing wrong with it.
I watch so much American TV that I know @KAL-EL 's obscure 1990s TV references.
But those are just the surface level stuff. Real culture is how you think about problems.
Simple example: when westerners have a problem with their children, a common reaction is "estrange them, you owe nothing to them after age 18". You see any Chinese act like that?
Second simple example: COVID. If there is no distinction between Chinese and westerners then how come the results are different?
In fact, the end results are very similar between South Asia and the West... Maybe YOU are the ones that are truly westernized at heart with English as an official language and copying the British government system?
