Despite Malala attack, Imran Khan stands ground on political solution

Imran Khan has a child's mindset thinking that everyone can just be friends. There can be no negotiating with terrorists and deep down he knows this as well.

Imran wants to take public support away from hard core Taliban (make them unpopular). The only way to defeat Taliban is to bring back those Pushtuns (hearts and minds) from Taliban who joined then in protest of collateral damages or Phustun's love.

His solution is appeasement and history shows appeasement does not work.

Ive seen it, and its quite opposite with the Iranians and Levant Arabs.

My visits to European countries and interaction with the Muslim Communities there leave me very concerned for them. I don't know why they have to develop a severe allergic reaction to everything "Western" when living in "Western" country. I attended a Friday Sermon at a Mosque in Nottingham and was surprised to hear a cleric ask Taxi Drivers and Shop Owners to refuse services to white folk on the pretext that they drink. I was like: "If that's such a problem, why don't you just go back to Pakistan? Nobody drinks there!" My question was drowned in a very vocal display of disdain for my rude interjection and a couple of young kids came over to invite me to a Hizb-ut-Tehrir event and told me that the charms of the west had put a blindfold over my eyes! Talk about hypocrisy, I don't even live in the West!

I could only wish if there were more Pakistanis like FaujHistorian.
I don't see any place for Imran Khan in Parliament. But hey, that's just me.
Of course his soft stance towards Mullahs is gonna get him SOME seats. Thanks to this illiterate society.

That's too much. For me personally, there are some things I like about the west and somethings I hate, same with Pakistan as well.

There is other side of the coin too.

I think many Desi cabies dream of such days where people are drunk and are parting , so they will have good business and tips , and how many listen to such cleric 1%, I think he wants good business for others cabies and reduce competition.

Yes I have heard that especially in UK. A lot of half educated mullahs have gone there from Pakistan and do this type of **** talking in mosques. there was a program on TV the other day where many Pakistanis complained about this issue especially mentioning UK.

I tend to agree what Imran Khan says, because all those killed in drone attacks as colletral damage adds to terrorism and multiplies terrorists. The thing to remember is that the childeren injured in these terrorist acts are same as Mullalai or children of any part of the world. If whole state machinery , media and international leaders are crying for Mullalai why they are quiet for other two girls or the children of Waziristan who die or lose their limbs or their parents are killed as colletral damage. We need to take our decision with minimum bloodshed, these militants must be segregated from innocent population and let general public be out of their influence. If local population is not protected by state or world comunity, there is a great likelyhood that they will be forced to join these militants.

Why are we forgetting Swat stuation when Sufi Muhammad and Fazalullah were in full swing, didn't we see gathering addressed by Sufi Muhammad and Fazalullah were attended by thousands of people. We should have assumed that the people attending those gatherings are also party to Fazalullah and they should be droned and bombed indiscriminately. I think we should deal people of Waaziristan in similar way and Terrorists should be segregated from local innocent population and probably this is the only solution. For this there discussion with locals is only approach as IK suggests.

I think we go to either of extremes,Mr Ban Ki Moon, Mr Obama, State Department, GoP, GoKP and media but very few sections of media highlighted about the state of other two girls. Mullalai is no doubt an icon, a beacon and a hope but other two girls also need attention if not 50% of her, at least should be comparable. The people who have planned, facilitated and executed this attack are not human beings but unfortunately biologically they are. They are the worst creature on God's earth.

Some of the major reasons for flourishing these terrorists are lack of legislation by Federal and provincial governments to take on these criminals. Poor response by Judiciary in punishing these Ba****ds and holding poor prosecution as responsible. if persons like Hijratullah who was apprehend while hiding in a bush, holding hand grenade and waiting to find opportunity to lob it on rescue helicopter in Lahore, in front of media covering Manawan operation live, was awarded few years of jail whereas he deserved death by jojo. And finally government held up all executions including terrorists who every now and then find an opportunity like Bannu Jail incident to manage an escape. The things will not only continue but will flourish unless executive and judiciary addresses it with major responsibility on executive's shoulders.

I don't expect any thing from this government seeing their track record after Swat and South Waziristan operations, where they failed to deploy civil setup after successful military operations. Resultantly military is still in the area in numbers to hold ground thus overstretched also. With their this act, TTP skunks who have attacked these girls have prepared general public for another impending operation in North Waziristan for which probably PA was reluctant. Thats way US paid media is shouting and crying about Mullalai only and not about other two girls. Had there been other two girls only media would have only at max run red ticker for few minutes.

When US gives a statement about Malala, its the most hypocritical of all. Here is a country whose 'war' is the reason behind all this polarization and growing extremism. Its a country whose military has killed so many young sons and daughters of many other countries.

Even our media and government are not talking about the other two girls injured in the murder attempt. Are they any less mortal than Malala? Dont take me wrong. I have a lot of sympathy for her. I have been praying for her just like all Pakistanis but the focus and attention should be uniform.

Imran Khan is just playing politics and playing to the gallery and the anti-US sentiment in Pakistan, what negotiations or political settlement does he want with the Taliban, has he ever mentioned it? can anybody please enlighten me?
