Yes but people also responsible. They knew that making house on 120 sq yard 3 floor is illegal but they do it and start living in it. Same goes here they do know that they bought house on nala but yet they go for it and build colony so everyone comes on street and do dharna.

SBCA and KDA are a joke. Their only job is to collect bribes and pass it on to the higher ups. A quota is set for every officer against his job, if he fails he is transfered or removed. There is no room for an honest man. There is proper organization and monitoring by ministers using police.

People are not that informed when buying properties. They check the file go to the KDA verify the file and buy, that's as much as one can do. These mafias make illegal things legal. They do proper paperwork with proper records if you give them the right amount.

Yes as far as construction is concerned, only DHA Cantonment and Bahria are tightly regulated by building restrictions, area that should be left on all sides of house, overall height, grade mix of cement, steel guage etc. It is impossible to violate building code in those areas. Rest is free for all with no restriction in place. People in this regard are equally responsible but I will blame the provincial authorities more for not enforcing a code.

Buildings built in Clifton Cantonment Area / Khaliq us Zaman Road were never meant to be taller than 3 or 5 floors commercially.

But they have built more than 10 floors of buildings on Khaliq Uz Zaman Road In Clifton Karachi under supervision of serving or retired officers of the armed forces.

Per floor of illegal floor laid down costs builders, in bribe money, between Rs 20 million - 50 million, which is very cheap considering that each flat / apartment is sold for Rs 40 million - 70 Million

How can Federal / National Institutions such as:

1. SSGC,
2. before / after privatization K - Electric
3. PTCL, partially privatized

Provide Gas, electricity and Phone connections to these ILLEGALLY constructed houses / buildings?

This has been going on for decades.

Everyone is involved in making sure that Karachi gives the maximum Golden eggs as much as possible.

A builder once told, regarding corrupt officials and Bribe money:
