Democracy under threat

So in other words according to Asma Jahangir judiciary is a tool of "establishment". But wasn't she saying that she will support same judiciary against same "establishment" on the issue of missing persons in Baluchistan. Didn't she know that this judiciary is a tool of "establishment" when she was supporting it against same "establishment".

This lady is a total mess. Old age has definitely taken a toll on an organ she has(hopefully) called as Brain. Pathetic.

she is a decorated, representative of CIA, & she is just doing her job , IN PROTECTING CIA,s vital intersts in pakistan!

Even a failed democracy with crooks and thieves as politicians is better than all other forms of rule because at least in long run it gets better.
If you look at India in 70s and 80, you will understand what I am talking about.
Even with record corruption(so called), current leaders in India are cleaner and more accountable.

This is clearly judiciary overreaching its mandate, the judge should be shown the door.

Autocracy can be good OR bad depending upon the autocrat.....the supreme leader or party....
Since the autocrat is all powerful, if things are bad people can hold a single person accountable.....and if the 'bad' autocrat can be ousted then the suffering ends....

BUT in a democracy, you cannot hold a single person responsible for anything.......everyone blames the other and the suffering of common people continues....
Democracy can become a silent killer if not handled properly.......
Just copy pasting the ruling system from another country can prove dangerous......like India is paying the price for copy-pasting the British constitution.....
The British form of democracy(Parliamentary System) is working perfectly well for Britain BUT India wasn't suitable for this form.....

Probably the Presidential form of Democracy is more suitable for India.....and Pakistan.........

anyway, do disagree with Asma Jahangir on this-

by establishing rule of law, the SC has not established supremacy of SC over Parliament, but took down only the crook Gilani shamefully sticky to the Premiership- the government will continue its tenure- and that is the real democracy where you depend on system working, and not on individuals.

And all this doesn't mean a way for the military to take over again and derail the system- they are neither welcome nor acceptable, and their place is Barracks- another two things that are stopping them

1- no political party is supporting military rule-

2- American; Army's patron is no longer at their back-



All in all good for Pakistan.

i guess after watching the conditiion of poor indians we should not opt for english style system/democracy on the first place, but again this women is a jerk & scoring points, I guess this is the first time in South Asia that Pakistan made democracy held accountable & all other countries in region should learn abt it....

The meeting was presided over by General Khalid Shameem Wynne, chairman JCSC.
The other attendees of the meeting were Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila, Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique ****, Secretary Defence, Additional Secretary Defence Production, Chief of General Staff, Director General Joint Staff, Director General Inter Services Intelligence, Director General Strategic Plans Division and senior military officers from the three services, Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) press release said.
Chief of General Staff attended the meeting in the absence of Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, sources said.
The participants of the meeting discussed the issues related to national security and emerging regional environment. The officials expressed their satisfaction over the professional preparedness of the armed forces.
JCSC meets on the quarterly basis to assess and evaluate the operational preparedness of the armed forces.

Sir cases against PPP are not through sout mutoo they are taken by some one in court this case was taken by both PML N and Imran Khan if corrupt PPP government is to afraid of their own corruption that is why they are not taking other parties cases in front of courts than SC can't do any thing about it because Hijacking case was just a joke without any proof any lawyer can tell y you that CJ has no political agenda but Corrupt PPP and Traitor Musharraf touts think so and spread this crap but are biggest failures
