NEW DELHI: The special cell of Delhi Police foiled a terror attack in the national capital after apprehending a suspected Hizbul Mujahideen operative from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.

The suspect has been identified as Liaqat Ali who was brought to Delhi by Kosi Express, a source in Delhi Police said. He was produced in court on Thursday itself, according to the source.

Liaqat Ali is considered a hardcore terrorist who underwent rigorous training in Pakistan and has been associated with Hizbul Mujahideen for the last 15 years. He has been involved in several operations.

The cops have reportedly recovered an AK 47 assault rifle and a cache of ammunitions from the suspected operative.

In what seems to be a linked operation, Delhi Police also raided the Hazi Arafat guest house in Jama Masjid area of central Delhi on Thursday night and apprehended two men, the source added.

The two, who were guest house employees, were let off after questioning.

The cops have asked them to assist in the probe as and when required.

The operation at the guest house began around 10.30pm when special police teams and bomb squads reached the area and cordoned off the guest house.

The cops raided room number 304 and reportedly recovered some incriminating material and possibly some ammunition as well.

Cops have not confirmed these details yet and further investigations are on. A senior officer said a briefing would be done on Friday afternoon.

What this holy means here?? This holy means "Islamic" holy. When the organisation is based on religion, there masters are religious, they kill based on religion (Why don't they blow Mosque, Why don't they blow on Eid?) they are religious..
