I have been asking this question myself for quite sometime. Many of these cases are from Delhi region only.

Delhi has gone to dogs offlate. People have become less sensitive towards others..They have become self centered and have nurtured "do not care" attitude.

Indian culture believe woman exist to serve man. With that attitude, woman are not respected. They need to change their whole outlook on woman.

My observation is the people involved in these crimes are in Delhi, but mostly they have come to Delhi from the adjoining states looking for jobs which are usually lowly-paid and blue-collar in nature. I don't know what to make of it, but I see a pattern there.
There should be a comprehensive study of why such cases are happening in this particular region. Rest of India is doing fine.
There was one case in Bengal involving the elderly nun, which was quite shocking as Bengal is a largely peaceful place with hardly any cases of crime and violence. Later we found out that Bangladeshi illegal immigrants did it.

Why would a woman got out for a massage from a male, that too in Delhi?

Our own media is sold out and hell bent on spoiling our image by making mountain out of a mole. Most of these stories in western media are picked up by them from Indian sources. I believe we need to learn from China on how to use media to better portray your image to the world and put a leash on propaganda spouted by the western media.
