This will bite us just like it did during the cold war when we supported the Soviet Union.Atleast the USSR was a superpower,supplied us with weapons,Iran has Oil and is not even a power in the Middle East.

We better do something before all the hard work of 2 decades done to improve Indo-US relations goes to the bin.

and who will provide oil?? you?? or your US ?? why should we sacrifice our resources and our economy for the sake of a few jokers who want to play their usual "world peace" game.. and for your kind info, we never aligned with USSR. We had something called the Non Aligned movement which meant that we would mind our own business instead of cheering up the democratic amreeka or the communist USSR. Also, our economy during the cold war era was not in a good shape, now it is, and a single bottleneck like this can cost our economy billions. We are not some other country that would invite US to kill terrorists and nuke al quaida... and as far as relations are concerned, they have more economical assests here and if they eglect us, it will their own loss not ours...

We supported USSR but did not side them shoulder to shoulder. That's the difference. I think you need to understand Intl. politics to understand different stands by countries.
