Again, it’s not me or you to decide who is right for the job. It’s those people live in Bd will decide. Democratic system is best to accommodate the masses, not atrocitic regime.
If you want Bd to prosper and you want to see Bd a strong nation then you would want to see Bd people united behind the party in power. Division will weaken the nation from in and out my friend.
Look what happened to Lebiya. It’s was one of the prospours nation in Africa but it was missing democracy. End result is not pretty. I do not wish to see same or similar situation erupt in Bd. Would you?
Democratic system only works when a country has reached a certain level of economic development - my opinion is that it needs to be "middle-income" for the general population to be educated enough and the institutions mature enough to be able to deal with changes in government.
As an example of the utter failure of the democratic system look no further than that useless neighbour India of ours. It has had democracy since independence 70 years ago and is still a miserably poor place where people are advised by government ministers to eat rats to survive. India has other issues like multi-ethnicity that is hampering it's development but democracy has failed to deliver the people from poverty after 7 decades of independence.
I have major problems with Awami League in terms of their deference to India and also the level of corruption but BD has no better alternative right now. Even if the BNP came in and were less corrupt and more economy/military friendly you would need many years before the new government can even start doing anything such is the nature of the immaturity of the BD institutional framework.
Let Awami League rule for another 5 years in order to get the major infrastructure projects built, economic zones completed and military buildup placed in high gear, and then if BNP can get rid of Khaleda Zia and her son, they can get a chance to come into power.
PS - Libya is a bad example as it is a tribal country, oil rich and was threatening Western interests in Africa. BD is none of these things.
