I think it looks about right but the Chinese will probably be spending 50-100 per cent more than US by 2045.

China would want to aim to be able to beat US and any allies combined by the date mentioned.

hmm. most of the spending will no doubt be on 6th gen jets and drones.

i want to see more efficiency more bang for your buck

lasers and low cost missiles and bombs are the future in warfare and will be cheap compared todays standards.

They produce their stuff domestically, they pay wages in local currency, etc.

Also US, UK, France,Germany and China.

It does not work for India currently but MAY work by 2045 for them if they can develop their military technology at a decent level over the next 30 years.

Defense expenditure for Japan looks good. Looks quite reasonable .

Military budget by PPP is a very realistic indicator of military capability as it includes salary of soldiers, benefits and all.

And if all equipment is made in house and technology level is equal then it is 100% accurate assessment of military power e.g a tank built in India would be cheaper than an equivalent tank built in US.
