defence.pk Initiative For Meaningful Discussion of Issues of National Interest

I want to request the @WebMaster and other administration of defence.pk to take steps for meaningful exchange of ideas and positive discussion of various issues facing our country. We already have a lot of sections devoted to all these issues and any member of the forum is free to create a new thread to discuss interesting matters related to our country. But I would request the administration to make a greater effort towards creating a more stimulating atmosphere where we actually have thoughtful discussions that actually help the decision makers know what is good for our country. When the ideas are discussed with clarity, and arguments are based on sound reasoning, it becomes obvious to most of the educated people what has to be done towards the good of our country, what policies have to be adopted and what pitfalls have to be avoided. Good discussions in which intelligent forum members make a real effort to make a thoughtful contribution can many times, help our policy makers explore new dimensions in search of the right approach towards the solution of many problems facing our country. We are all imperfect with our limited domain of knowledge but when all of us try to discuss solutions to our problems, and present our arguments, flaws in reasoning of one will be corrected by better arguments or counterarguments of some other intelligent friend, and shortcomings due to lack of one individual's domain of knowledge will be overcome when somebody who has more knowledge regarding certain aspects of matters under discussion, participates in discussion.

I would make a few initial recommendations to webmaster and other administration with the request to consider them and approve what seems appropriate and also add/implement their own ideas towards the goal of creating a stimulating environment for discussion of important national issues.

Everybody would be free to participate in the discussions but the participating members would be requested to be very thoughtful in making their suggestions. Really think hard about the problems and present it with sound arguments. Irrelevant statements and point scoring would be discouraged by the administrators. Participants would be encouraged to write about various aspects of the problems comprehensively in as few posts as possible (as opposed to just one or two line statements).

Webmaster and administration might want to encourage members who have a reputation of contributing to the forum with good knowledge, common sense and sound logic to actively participate in these discussions.

Webmaster might also want to invite Pakistani citizens who have excelled in various areas related to common issues under discussion facing our country and request them to make a contribution.

Make a request to policy making departments of our country to consider the content of relevant discussions on defence.pk while making their decisions and devising their policies. Our purpose is only to present ideas, make suggestions while backing our ideas with solid reasoning and logic.

Webmaster, if he likes the idea, could make a list of important discussion issues and slowly add more topics to the list. There is no need to rush the discussion on any issue unless the issue is of time-critical nature.

First thing should be we should not make fun of others like we Indians always speak of Money whenever we talk with our Pakistani Friends....Our wording is like " You don't have the money to buy "............ I mean what is this....?....... There are some great and true people who doesn't get like this but simply says that "we can't buy"..... I don't like this "MONEY" issue to be discussed here.....whenever someone talks about buying hardware for Pakistan, everyone(we Indians) says you can't buy because you don't have the money to buy.........It truly hurts a lot........I want this term to terminate here....
