what have they been doing all these years after claiming they are generating the best and the most engineers in the world? do they have full employment or insufficient qualified staff?

Quantity wise, i think they are correct to say that they are one of the top at producing engineers. Also remember, there are may different types of engineers like civil, environmental,etc. Although they generate some of the best engineers in the world they are still far behind the likes of US, Japan, China, Europe.

As for the bold part, i do not know about engineers employment status.

if they have no time or no capabilty then reverse engineering is not an option if they have the fear of trojan they can obtain a third party examiniation of any trojan inside!

I dont think that would remove the fear. This is aggravated by the fact that missiles of india are usually tested from there

Corruption in INDIA.. hell no doubt.. but since corruption in defense is the issue here, I will give you an example of BOFORS ?

Ever heard of it ? It was the first high profile defense scams in INDIA. After 15 years of being purchased, they proved their mettle in slopes of Kargil.

I won't cite any links ( obvious reasons ) but you are free to google for links, how bofors developed in 80s and designed in 70s
and marred with scams proved itself in kargil in '98

So, please don't worry about the quality as such..

Not true. Higher the quality, more the kickbacks. This is why most of the tenders go to Western
products nowdays, not the cheaper Russian ones. Plus I think there's another reason to the selection
of German radar, Chinese/Russian makes are cheap to buy but expensive to maintain in the
fact they break down often. Western stuff is costly to buy but not likely to develop trouble so often,
hence cheaper to maintain in the long run.
