Debate : Growing Intolerance

Lets have a civil debate on Growing intolerance among Married Couples .

I am finding an increased intolerance among Men and Women . With many divorces and other stuff , I am worried about the Future . Men like me can forget about getting Married .

God Knows ! A joke with the lady will land me in Jail .
God Knows ! A joke with Men will land me up in Hospital .

What has affected us ?
Have we become too materialistic that we have lost Virtues like Humbleness , Patience , Tolerance , Acceptance etc .

Has time come or will time come , when Marriage will lose its importance in Human Life .
What do U Think ?

In the West and also India, it is a foolish proposal for a man to get married. No-fault divorce, etc. The vast majority of divorces are initiated by the woman, the numbers are worse for college educated women.

fantasizing marriages and aloof from reality (considering after marriage life is just a long honeymoon) (couple problem)
intolerance over petty issues (mostly women)
financial stress (both)
materialism (mainly women)
extra marital (mainly men)
etc etc

Education should enlighten and evolve people .
But the trend that i have seen is a negative one .

More Education has made people selfish , Arrogant , Harsh , Heartless etc .
And if u say something about Women , Hell will be let loose and the Guy , even if he is right would be harassed .
It will be considered Misogyny .

Soon people will lose their ability to Compromise .

our society is getting more and more liberal and that is certainly is a good thing.i m very much against arranged marriage since it ignores personal freedom of men and women.
now,men and certainly women arent seen as embarrassment if they have gotten divorce.they can be accepted in society which was not the case few years ago.
its just a delusion that arranged marriage are more succesfull.they just dont have any other option then to live with each other even if they hate each other for the rest of lives,

of course divorce is better rather to live in a "compromised" or hatred relationship... but there are always ups and downs in any relation.. of course there is a parameter not to cross but no one can find a perfect match..unless they perfect cloning and you can marry yourself who can completely understand you

I don't know , what Kind of Arrange Marriage is practiced in India but in my culture , Parents arrange the Couples . They are given time ( from 2 months to 1 Year ) to understand each other . If they like each other they will marry otherwise not .

Looking at the stats , Love Marriage isn't a solution either .
When people live together , There will be love , Hate , Care , Fights , Abuses , Presents etc .
People with virtues will be able to withstand anything .

I sometimes fight with my family members but it doesn't mean I should runaway from my house or make them leave .
Indian society is Family based .
New Indian Youth doesn't care about Family .

One of my Cousins marriage got cancelled because Girl was against living with Parents in law .
Both Girl and Boy liked each other but the above reason cancelled the marriage .
