This brain eating organism is a protozoa it enters the body through nasal mucosal membrane when it comes in to contact with fresh water of lakes ,streams, pools of stagnant fresh water used for swimming its a rare disease but its fatal just like rabies with 98% mortality rate and the drugs which do kill it are effective outside the body not inside E.g AMPHOTERICIN B
And can be found any where in the world forget geography NORTH - SOUTH POLE this is present warm fresh water
SO NO TREATMENT And NO VACCINE FOR THIS ORGANISM AS YET !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Research is going on for the treatment but if anyone finds it ,Should get the NOBLE PRIZE !!!!!!!
Pakistans major city Karachi was struck by an outbreak of Naegleria fowleri, also known as brain-eating amoeba. The deadly freshwater microbe kills 98 percent of those infected. The source of the infection has yet to be identified.
Should we blame America for this?
US is also hit but this amoeba, same as a lot of other countries. For some reason Pakistan is cherry picked for the bad news.
