Dead animals and garbage threaten safe fly-bys on Indian holiday

India's Air Force has asked New Delhi residents to avoid throwing garbage and dead animals in the streets to ensure safe fly-bys during the large-scale celebrations for an upcoming national holiday.

The Indian Air Force says that birds attracted by garbage pose a serious threat to 28 aircraft flying at an altitude of from 60 meters to 500 meters above ground as part of a military parade to celebrate the Republic Day on January 26.

In a press release, the Air Force appealed to all citizens in Delhi and its outskirts "to keep the areas clean, avoid throwing eatables, garbage, dead animals, or animal carcasses in the open."

Bird strikes are a common occurrence, though they rarely lead to serious accidents. According to the U.S. Bird Strike Committee, over 200 people have been killed worldwide as a result of wildlife strikes since 1988.

My brother ... I thing atleast one time you should visit all states in India .. It's not about Delhi, Kerala or Hyderabad ... its about discipline....My friend dont be selective and mostly of our states in India with full of same issues ...
