Dawood, Hafiz Saeed to be in fix as US, India may join hands to nab them | Zee News
In what can be called as a huge achievement for India, Modi government may soon get into an agreement with the United States to be a part of Terrorist Screening Center of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Once the agreement is finalised it is believed that it will prove fruitful in nailing down the most wanted underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim, 26/11 plotter Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, JuD chief and Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed, mastermind of 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts Tiger Memon and many more.
The United States has already signed such a deal with 30 other countries.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of home Affairs (MHA) has ruled out Intelligence Bureau’s reservation on saying that the arrangement primarily protect US interest.
Recently, according to a dossier prepared by India, to he handed over to Pakistan, Dawood Ibrahim has nine residences in Pakistan, including one bought near the house of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, son of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, two years ago, and has three Pakistani passports which he frequently uses to travel.
Notably, with Pakistan brandishing its nuclear status in the wake of cancellation of Indo-Pak talks, the US has cautioned that such statements would not help reduce tensions between the two countries. The US also asked India and Pakistan to resolve their long-standing issues through constructive dialogue.
The Terrorist Screening Center of FBI is known to be one of the US government’s most secure buildings, which protects the nation’s top secret terrorist databases.
The center was founded in 2003 in response to the 9/11 attacks. Their job is to gather intelligence about possible terrorists both in the United States and abroad.
