Dauntless Deltas Delivering Their Duities

with all due respect to the deltas i think they have outlived their lives....its high time they get replaced by something better....
this is the only post which has a realistic approach, while rest of the gang is busy in dreaming
delta = JSF
delta= Su35
delta= Rafael etc etc :haha:

. . . . . .
20 Mirage-V Rose II
14 Mirage-V Rose III

If there are 30 Mirage-V available from EAF, they could be cannibalized for spares for Rose II and III.
so how any rose 1 does PAF have left and where did you get the 20, 14 no.

did we have ever found out that rose 1 had BVR capability or not?

Military Balance suggests 133 total Mirages, 82 Mirage III and 51 Mirage V. Looks like the Mirage V squadrons also have 5 Mirage IIIs each for AD purposes during TA missions.

21 Mirage III in Bandits
21 Mirage III in Ghazis
21 Mirage III in Cobras
5 Mirage III in Haiders
5 Mirage III in Night Strike Eagle
5 Mirage III in Zarrars
4 Mirage III in CCS
Total 82

16 Mirage V in Haiders
16 Mirage V in Night Strike Eagle
16 Mirage V in Zarrars
3 Mirage V in CCS
Total 51

The only viable option that we have to replace Mirages would be the J10 C...same design better radar and avionics...

Is PAF planning to procure 130-150 J-10C/CS to replace Mirages or will they be replaced by JF-17 Block-4?

If spares for Mirage V ROSE II/III sqdrn's are required, why not cannibalize some aircraft from No. 8 or No. 15 squadron? These sqdrn's are expected to be equipped with JF-17 Block III starting 2021.

I see one more possibility here: media reports mention Pakistan negotiated for Egyptian Mirage 5 Horus aircraft, which have undergone a modernization program 10 years back. What if some of the Egyptian aircraft end up entering service with ROSE II/III squadrons as attrition replacements? :azn:

The only viable option that we have to replace Mirages would be the J10 C...same design better radar and avionics...

J-10C/CE would be another medium weight fighter in PAF, with combat radius not exceeding that of the F-16.

PAF needs a long-range, twin engine AS fighter like Su-35 or J-16 to meet future requirements. Nothing less.

If they are canabalised, there will be no reserves.

That would be awesome because PAF will not let go of upgraded or ROSE Mirages that easily
