Dassault offers Rafale, stage set for MMRCA 2.0

I am confused. What's the difference between the previous rafale and present rafale offers ?
What's this whole tender about ? Why not just buy more rafales and keep the different types of fighters down ?
More kick backs before election or need party fund for election

It's no gimmick.

The Chief was talking about it in reference to the JF-17.

JF-17 is for the present, LCA is for the future.
LCA present condition give us what future LCA will have. If they cross 100+ it will be wonder itself. Fourth generation fighter planes have now 10 years left by the time 100 plane came out 4 and 4+ start retiring. Even our JF17 have hardly 5 years left by that time.

The tender will become active after elections.

Even the US will phase out F-16s after 2050 and the SH after 2060.

that is fill gap thing and not combat ready mission. They can afford that because they already have them. Building new plane for filling gap is insane.

Fourth generation aircraft will continue to operate world wide for at least the next three decades. The continued use of 4th generation aircraft does not indicate that 4th generation aircraft can evenly complete with 5th generation aircraft. If both pilots have similar training standards, the 5th generation pilot has a distinct advantage. When the F-15 was first deployed in Israel, the 3rd generation Syrian Migs were easily destroyed with no F-15 losses. Likewise, modern F-22A's participate in 1 vs. 4 to 5 engagements against F-15's and routinely win. Even a lower quality 5th generation fighter, such as the F-35, has the advantage over a 4.5 generation aircraft like the Su-30MKI.

We will have 5th and 6th gen aircraft complementing the Tejas.
