A society that treats its children so appallingly deserves no sympathy. I known child sexual abuse and maltreatment takes place in other parts of the world but at least its not practiced so widely and openly ...

Now, you pretty much see it in remote areas. Police come watch, tribal people, and even some Taliban warlords.

This has been going on for centuries in Afghanistan, but it was banned when Taliban came into power in Afghanistan.

I remember something on Dutch television. It was about Dutch forces in Afghanistan who had to cooperate with an Afghan governor to rebuild and secure Uruzgan. It was told that the governor liked young Afghan boys (and probably raped them).

But the coalition forces had no choice to work with him, because they haven't got the mandate or jurisdiction to change his way of life(this was implicated).

I wouldn't have mind if a laserguided bomb accidentally had fallen on the governors house though.

This criminal and shameful act has always been banned under any gov, the mujahideen, the taliban, before them and after them. But there is a problem of law enforcement in the country that is why it is happening. During the taliban time, i myself witnessed it in Logar and Paktia province many times.

It was banned during the Taliban era but far WORSE atrocities happened during the Taliban era where they made very young boys ages 7-14 dance in privacy and sexually abused them as well.... These Taliban are extremely sick and mental in the head.

I would actually hire the worst of Taliban and get them to eradicate this menace.

No punishment is severe enough.

The Talib would be among the first joining in --- This is a much larger problem, a cultural problem, See, this is what some who are for whatever reason deprived of the company of women, are acculturated to think is, S.E.X

(why is the word S>E>X- bleeped out on the forum? are we going the Talib route- WTF?)



but of course it's not a serious problem for Afghans, because if it was, they would not have this problem, right?
