Dam released water without warning in Siirt

As its mentioned in last news , A dam in Siirt released water without warning, in the time when people stays in picnic in rear of water source. Concers stay amid incident, due to holiday ,plenty of people would be considered to visit picnic area.

the same dam, also caused deaths in past times, each years and all were people was doing picnic.

Incident said to happen later 6pm UTC+3 . Updates will be done just news are received.

According to officials, warning has given before than release , unfortunately didnt provide enough time for people in picnic area , 4 of them rescued, search operations are conducted for others might be caught in flood.

6 people designated as missing after accident, 5 of them found death in search and rescue, 1 is still missing .
LIMAK group, manager of the dam, claimed those people were staying in restricted area , eventhough its told in 1st explanations the area wasnt secured as restricted by officials.

Same dam has more incidents from past , 2-3 times each year , which resulted in casualties in each incident due to release of water unexpectedly ,with less time given after warnings.

Also its being discussed whether warning is given , or was it enough time after warning ,water to be released . Remains alleged about are whether its restricted too.

According to last news, LIMAK company gave speech on this matter, Dam was operating as energy plant ,so water didnt release because of overload ,but to generate energy . Also area was restricted area and people could know this area was dangerous.
