Indians don't like it when Some Pakistani wannabes start destroying pre-islamic or non-islamic in Bangladesh and start insulting Indian (Bengali) poets, Bengali culture. Spot the difference.

Yes, I misunderstood you earlier, the Jamatis on here are trying to compensate by their lack of support in Bangladesh (where they get 4.6% of the votes) by highlighting some event in a park less than 100 metres away from the main Jamati mosque in Europe, which can accommodate thousands and thousands of people.

Anyway let's leave discussion about Pakistan out of this thread.

People who read Tagore's literature are called RAW agents, they even hate their own flag, their country's name, their language, their national anthem, Bangladeshi women wearing sarees. They just can't be part of anything ever done by a non-Muslim or non-Muslim culture. Some of them even critisize their own freedom and their existence as a nation? and see it as Mujib's conspiracy.

Most of the Bengalis here in UK left Bangladesh in late 1960s or early 1970s so they still think Bangladesh is still going through civil war and Pakistan is some big evil creature and most of them still hate Pakistan with passion.

Plus Shahbag Square clearly shows what does the common man in Bangladesh want. They are neither with Shekh Hasina nor Jamaat. They hate Hasina because they think she was involved in a back channel deal with Jammat because of the pressure created by Jamaatis. Anyway the truth is Jamat as a party are less violent than the Awami League and unlike the Jamatis on this forum I do not believe in violence. I do not support excessive police harshness to Jamatis and vice versa.

We as a nation must aspire to be more like western European nations that can express their differences peacefully and resolve them through dialogue or the legal process.

Hartals, fighting, killings are for barbaric cavemen.

On a serious note:

Awami League is more violent because:

1. Communist influence and methodology (revolution etc).
2. Mujib was a student strongman even in his days as a Muslim league, Muslim nationalist and activist against Hindus.

Both the BNP and Jamat are far less violent but they are both horrible as well, Jamat killed people last week.

All of these three parties in Bangladesh are corrupt, violent and a disgrace.

The long-term solution is for us to eschew violence and focus on resolving our differences through dialogues.

Bangladeshi politicians must learn to do this or they will face another military coup and will be taught a severe lesson as some of them were a few years ago.

Hasina arrested and put in prison a few years ago.

Khaleda Zia's son, the corrupt Tariq beaten by Bangladeshi security during military-backed administration.

Khaleda in tears.


Ultimately both the Awami League and BNP know there are certain red lines they cannot cross as both the military and Washington DC are concerned.

Hellraiser, yeah you are right.

However without going in to too much detail, I've been told that I should report offensive posts.

1. Members of a certain political party who only make up 4.6% of the electorate have hijacked this forum for many years and have been spreading hatred. This forum to whatever small degree influences people's perception of my country.

People believe that we hate Hindus, that we want a war with India, due to these Jamatis who essentially dominate the Bangladeshi sub-forum.

2. They dominate by bullying and insulting normal Bangladeshis like me in to silence. Look at how many times Al-Zakir has sworn on here, with no remorse, no sense of shame. I wonder if any action will be taken against him or Kobiraaz who started this thread and insulted me in the first post.

If Jamati domination of this sub-forum continues Indian posters will continue to think we are Hindu-hating extremists who want a war with India.

3. We Bangladeshis realize that the world is turning east, to Asia. This is the Asian century. For a long time the white west dominated the world but now power is shifting to Asia. China is progressing. India is also another giant and progressing. We Bangladeshis are fellow non-white "brown" people and part of Asia and want to be part of a common Asian future.

India and China are doing trade of around $100 billion though despite being "enemies" (e.g. nukes pointed at each other). These Jamatis do not want my people, my country to do the same and engage with a huge market of 1 billion Indians next door. They do not want my people to have better standards of living, better health care, clothing etc. They just want war with India.

If I achieve anything in this forum it is the realization amongst our neighbours to the west that this sub-forum does not represent Bangladesh and is dominated by people from a party which represents 4.6% of votes in Bangladesh.

I do not want Jamatis to hijack my country's future prosperity and chances of being part of a wider common Asian future.
