There are the things I love about Islamabad. One of the most beautiful capitals in the world and the best city in Pakistan.

I just want CDA to start adding biking lanes along all the roads and it will become ever better ..

People do ask which trail is the most picturesque and beautiful...Trail 5 must be the one.

BTW here is a good quality documentary about the Margalla hills ecosystem and wildlife by the Dawood Foundation. One reason Islamabad has such clean air is the Margalla hills with its thick vegetation and verdant greenery.

Thanks, yes Pakistan does have this bad perception, changing though slowly. Forest cover is different w.r.t provinces, like KPK(frontier province) has about 22% forest cover, now will be raised above 26% after the tree plantation drive(BTS, billion tree project).

Balochistan, the biggest province in area has meager forests and green areas. Punjab and Sindh has huge irrigated areas, fruit orchards but not enough forests.

Yes done all the trails. Trail 6 is the easiest. Trail 5 can be long. This is where a couple of kids got lost and rangers had to go find them at night.
Islamabad is pretty cool place.
