CWG will be better than Beijing Olympics: Kalmadi

Apologies buddy if I hurt you. What I was trying to convey is that discussing many phenomenons in a single point does not lead on a conclusion. When I tried to describe political aspects of Democracy you moved to economically and then further to people's psychology. We can stick to the topic of Corruption and then we can discuss one's point. Here i ask you your suggestion which India can do to overcome with corruption problem. I mentioned mine in earlier post.

Do not need to apologize, just discussed, do not need to apologize.

Autocracy works for China, because China is a very homogenous society. More than 90%+ of the population is Han Chinese, who share a similar "Han culture", speak the Han languages (Han yu), and who write using Han characters (Han zi).

Democracy works for India, because India is a very diverse society, with many different races/religions/cultures living side-by-side. India has 2000 ethnic groups (compared to 56 in China) and is not dominated by any particular one, unlike China which is dominated by the Han ethnic/cultural group.

At the end of the day, China and India both have the system that works for them. And we can see this success, in the economic growth rates of both nations.

I think china has modelled its economy perfectly, by being socialist so caring for its poor, and capitalist for industry growth.

I'm going to risk a bit of flak from some Chinese "patriots" here:

Thank you for being supportive of China but right now the government isn't really being "socialist" for the poor. First of all China is a large country and there are a lot of people that we couldn't provide for but second of all (and more importantly) there is a change of attitude regarding the poor in the CCP since capitalism took hold. All that everyone cares about is earning money and social welfare isn't as good as what it used to be like.

Being socialist and caring for the poor and capitalist for industry growth is China's goal but it is definitely not the case now.

How did you make this conclusion?
In India,80%+ of the population identifying themselves as Hindus. Is that low enough?

Here you go:

The demographics of India are remarkably diverse. India is the second most populous country in the world, with over 1.18 billion people (estimate for April, 2010), more than a sixth of the world's population.

India has more than two thousand ethnic groups, and every major religion is represented, as are four major families of languages (Indo-European, Dravidian, Austro-Asiatic and Tibeto-Burman languages) as well as a language isolate (the Nihali language[4] spoken in parts of Maharashtra).

Only the CONTINENT of Africa exceeds the linguistic, genetic and cultural diversity of the nation of India.

Demographics of India - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

China has 90%+ Han Chinese, who follow a similar "Han culture". In total, the PRC recognizes 56 ethnic groups.

India has more than 2000 ethnic groups, some of which are culturally/religiously/linguistically quite different from the others. No one single ethnic group dominates the country, unlike what happens in China, where Han is the dominant group by far.

Also, sharing the same religion does not mean people share the same culture, for example France and Angola are both Christian, but they do not share the same culture.

India is always been a melting pot for centuries. Language, religion, ethnicity, region, culture, caste, dialect are just tip of a mountain. I don't think any other country in this world can achieve this feat.

Buddy, You are confused with religion and culture which is way different from each other in many sense. India is a diverse society with its multiple languages, religions and different ways of living. Our constitution binds us better than our religion, language, caste etc.

This is your perception as you said your mind. India is a nation having different ethnicity like Aryan, Drvadian and Mangoloids as well. And Please, Let them be Indians and do not stereotype with some other nationality.

All Indians are the same even from NE India, but culturally and facial features wise we are all together different.

In India we never talk of religion as a unifying factor, it is the spirit of being an Indian that makes us feel proud of our mother land and this is what makes us work together and make sacrifices for our Mother( We fondly call our country as our mother)
