Until the army is called to crush maoists, CRPF will sadly keep bleeding and many young men will die.

Today Maoist movement is no longer a 'communist' movement. It has become a downright terrorist plot with the highest bidding mischief mongering entity getting to use them as mercs against Indian security forces. This is evident from the number of self-proclaimed intellectuals and other 'experts' who support these madmen and have been embedded in the media and other mass influencing media.

No amount of importing weapons will change that.

The only solution to crush leftist terrorism is to do what Lankans did: send in the forces and unleash them.

There will be some collateral damage but the long term benefits of a peaceful eastern India will be much more beneficial for India.

Whats wrong with CRPF man. Army is already deployed in J&K and NE from decades. Are they able to end that problem. You are so blinded by this publicity propaganda that you can't see reality.

Btw you seem to be from North East plz check with frens in Meghalaya and Manipur, COBRA there has killed more insurgents there in last few years than for a decade were killed before. COBRA 210 Bn operating in NE has received record maximum no of gallantry award this year. No individual defence force unit has won so many gallantary in one year in anti insurgency ops.

So, Please show some respect to martyrs.

How damaging are the Maoist IED devices? Is icraterse of the CRPF being poorly protected or the Maoists being able to build high explosive IED's?

Maoist IED are becoming extremely sophisticated day by day.

Use of camera flash to detonate was used to blast Andhra Pradesh CM.
Mutliple IED need high voltage of current to detonate otherwise only few which get adequate electricity will blast rest will not. Camera Flash produces around 11000 Volt of current for a fraction of seconds, good enough to detonate multiple IEDs in one go.

Anti-handling and mobile operated IEDs are very commonin naxal belts.

Problem is naxal has ample amount of explosives. Many IEDs are around 50 to 100 kg. Which can shatter any Mine Protected Vehicle in world into shreds. Be it US made MRAPs or Indian MPV.

This MRAPs acquisition could be part of strategic action taken by GOI, to prevent these MRAPs to be handed over to Pakistan. Otherwise I don't find them useful in Naxal belt. But these could be of great use in Kashmir for CRPF.

As we know, CRPF comes under Home Ministry of India, which actually has more than 400 dptmts under it.

Also CRPF has no fixed budget so there is also no dearth of money for it. It can get as much budget as Home Ministry pleases.

Also RAW and CRPF both comes under Home Ministry so something might be cooking
