Creation of Bangladesh: Myths Exploded by Dr. Junaid Ahmad

ISI ought to investigate if RAW has financed Dr Ahmed to write this book . A classic example of mixing propaganda with known facts. Obviously aimed at creating more bad blood between the two Muslim nations which, if allied, could cause disaster to the Brahmonic republic.

There can be multiplicity of views. It is childish to ban things. Intellectual rigiour should be the only barometer to explore and "debunk" such views.

Just because a view exist it does not need to be quashed or need anything to be done about it.

If people does not like it just move on. Exaggerated reaction will merely legitimise and give views possibly unmerited undeserved gravitas.

The government banned many books actually. I've heard that some books written by officers under the Mujib administration were all burnt. Those books are very rare now.

Essentially, any book that goes outside some guy's 'comfort zone' gets banned.

Munishi is one of those razakars who sided with Pakistanis when they were systematically killing and depopulating his own people - the East Pakistanis.

Munshi is a Rajakar? He wasn't even born at the time

The writer is an idiot. This is famous photo of 26th march Dhaka right after operation search lightView attachment 377724

The writer may be an idiot and the photo is certainly not a fake. But, I have not seen the other photos to prove a 3 million killing. This photo is of the early morning indiscriminate killing on 26 March 1971. Newspapers exaggerated to report that 10,000 people were feared killed on that day. The figure is too large because even in a real battle field where tens of thousands fight each other, the killings do not reach that figure unless the PoWs are killed point blank.

Do some math, please. Multiply this 10,000 with 270 days of liberation war. It is 2.7 million. So, do you guys think PA troops killed 11,000 people each and every day of the nine month? People should be logical, but they have been made biased by a continuous barrage of propaganda by a special political party. I find some guys born with a coward DNA who love to weep and cry on every occasion.

What was the latest census for E. Pakistan before 1971 war and what was the earliest census done in BD after? Has this angle been approached?

Even if this shows say 1 million+ dip in population (past the organic population growth), one must remember that in many all out civil wars (esp US civil war), most of the casualties were not from war/atrocity actions but because of disease etc stemming from massive deterioration in social stability of whole battlefronts.

So, do you guys think PA troops killed 11,000 people each and every day of the nine month?

Its a key question. Its technically possible, but very implausible given when you go into civilian killing mode, BD rebels would have been given a much freer hand and PA army would actually would have lost conflict much earlier.

Command and control of deployed forces is something keyboard warriors have very little idea about.

Yes there are always atrocities that will go on, but to have it go past a certain prevalence is quite difficult without compromising breakdown in the rank and file of the fauji.

Nazis after all had a very difficult time of it even with special segregated forces (outside of the German Heer and Wehrmacht) for the task of civilian elimination like SS-EinsatzGruppen....which was a main reason for creation of the dedicated death camps.

Bangladesh, historical demographic data of the whole country

1) 64,954,000 1968
2) 66,517,000 1969
3) 66,671,000 1970
4) 69,774,000 1971
5) 71,471,000 1972
6) 73,210,000 1973
7) 76,398,000 1974

Many of the figures are estimation by the govt. I think, no census report is correct in a country like BD. But, however it is proved that the killing figure has a political meaning, the some cowardice BD youths will still keep on crying. We like to play victim too much. Ask any village elder. He will answer immediately the names of those killed in the 1971 army operation in their locality.

What is link/source for this information?

Many of the figures are estimation only.

That's not what I am asking for given estimates can always be made for any year.

I think, no census report is correct in a country like BD.

Ok but when was the closest census figures on either side of 1971....I am just interested about the exact spacing and if details were taken by age group etc. A massive genocide would leave some evidence.

I mean when did post-71 Bangladesh census start and how frequently was such census conducted? Same question for E-Pakistan. From that we can find the two relevant census I am talking about, I will assume both are equally innaccurate, their information can still indicate a genocide.

Its the ideology mate. Those who still want Pakistan to be their country or have West Pakistanis rule over Bangladeshis. Munshi is one of them.

It was in 1974 when the 1st population census was conducted in BD. For 1974 data, refer to the link above.

UN estimates:

Total population Population aged 0–14 (%) Population aged 15–64 (%) Population aged 65+ (%)
1950 37 895 41.2 54.8 3.9
1955 43 444 42.4 54.1 3.5
1960 50 102 43.6 53.1 3.3
1965 57 792 44.7 52.0 3.3
1970 66 881 44.7 51.8 3.4
1975 70 582 45.8 50.7 3.5
1980 80 624 45.0 51.4 3.6
1985 92 284 43.9 52.5 3.6

Chill, I haven't talked anywhere about 3 million or 3 lakh crap. Genocide isnt defined by numbers.

Nazis wanted to be systematic, which slowed them down.It is much more rapid when you apply shoot at sight policy.Khmer Rouge killed 2 million out of 7 in a span of only 4 years.Killing 3 million out of 75 in a course of 9 months by an army and paramilitary numbering more than hundred thousands is not impossible when guided by ethnic and religious hatred. Although I doubt the 3 million figure but I think killing were at least 5-10 lakhs. This is what Time magazine estimated that time.10 million people fled the country in course of several months, compare this with Syrian refugee crisis,4 million in course of 5 years in a population of 23 million. That was the largest refugee crisis since the second world war.Was that possible if there was no large scale atrocity going on?

But, why you guys keep on posting the few age old photographs? These cannot establish the credibility of a figure enlarged by propaganda. Note one information, during the December 1971 India-Pakistan war, only 1,300 IA troops were killed in the eastern sector. Had it been the BD people, people here would have been still weeping with a claim of 13 million people killed. Crying and begging for sympathy is not the work of a brave people. BD people cannot fight a war, but cry after the war.

He is so scared of Indian domination that he would rather embrace 'ghulami' of his west pakistani master. You would never find him anything discussing related to strengthening our defence, economy or achieving means to self-defence if needed.Only solution he find is to accept west pakistani ghulami.
